Taipei's highest mountain has great trails but mostly exposed to direct sunlight. As i climb the mountain, I love to look back at the trails I left behind and it makes me excited to move on to get to the peak. My solo adventure was distracted though by a big snake 🐍on the mountain side which passed ahead of me😲😳~ maybe to remind me that I maybe solo hiking but the trail is free for all☺️💯. I was there on a weekday so there's not much hikers but when i reached the peak, other hikers are very helpful to take souvenir photos of me at the peak☺️👍👌 Cicada chorus is my most memorable experience on my way down...

Read moreAbsolutely stunning. To go there and visit both peaks take a minibus (S15) to Lengshuikeng Hot Springs. From there on there is a trail that leads to a pond and heads towards the peaks. It can get quite windy at times. Head west / northwest after ascending both peaks and you’ll end up at the Xiaoyoukeng Visitor Center after passing a small volcanic nostril. Last bus from there to Taipei leaves at 17:20 so make sure you plan ahead. If you are fit you can do the whole trail from Lengshuikeng to Xiaoyoujeng in less than 2:00 hours but plan more time as there are nice viewpoints on the way...
