Three Peaks Tanzania Safari — Local services in Arusha

Together with my wife, we trekked the Lemosho-route (8 days). Prior to the trip, our contact person was very kind and reliable and responded to our questions via e-mail very quickly and informatively.

During the trip, we were surprised by the very warm and kindness of the supporting team accompanying us and we were also very impressed about the professionality of each hard-working member and of the quality of our equipment (tent, food, unlimited amount of drinking water). The supporting team comprised 2 guides, 1 cook, 8 porters - this might appear to be a high amount of supporters for 2 tourists, but it is really the standard for an 8-day trip at the Kilimanjaro!

During the treks, we talked a lot about life, society, family and culture. Each evening, our guides checked our health status (oxygen level, heart beating rate, energy level) and briefed us in detail for the next day. At an altitude of 4,400 meters, we had symptoms of mountain sickness (headache, nausea, low appetite, vomiting), but however, also due to the flexibility and professionality of our supporters, we managed to reach the top of the mountain at day 7 (Uhuru Peak).

Besides the trip, we spend a couple of days in Tanzania (Arusha and particularly Zanzibar) which is a wonderful country.
