Xstrike — Local services in Dubai

I have visited Xstrike for about 10 times and every time it was a good experience and we would have so much fun but this time is probably the reason I will never come back again. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, i have invited a big group of my friends some on them with their kids also all haven’t played before, we were about 13 people.

First issue is I don’t think we should ever be put on different teams, I know this is the rules of the place but what ended up happening is a group of very disrespectful guys were speaking about us the entire game which ruined the whole experience for us and they kept making fun about the fact that we were woman and we did not know how to play, it was very bad and disrespectful. I was this close to calling the police on them but didn’t want to make a scene. If me and my friends where all put in the same team this wouldn’t have happened.

Second major issue is the game was extremely unfair, there was some guy on the other team who was cheating in a crazy way, he was a “pro” and he was blind shooting most of the time, sometimes we would find him in the middle of our base after the mission finished and he was just standing between us and the person who was guiding us from the xstrike team did not do anything about it, this just ruined the entire game for us because we were playing for nothing. It was such a waste of time and money and an experience I never want to go through again. Of course this is not the first time this happens as this issue with the pro people happens every time and there is always unfair division where they are on one team and it ruins the other team and we feel like we literally spent money and time for nothing as we don’t even get to enjoy the game.

I think what disappointed me the most is there were a lot of technical issues this time many times my vest would not be beeping or red neither my headband but my gun is not shooting. I would waste like one minute trying to reset my bullets and figure out what was happening only to go back to the base and find out that I have already died but my vest did not work or did not show me that, this happened multiple times and they did reset my vest and gun twice but same issue kept happening, also I play this game many times and I always get very high scores this time no matter how much people I was shooting I think the gun was not working for some reason and I would go back and see that my kills were only two people which I am 100% sure is not correct, others complained from the same issue also.

I’m not even going to start about how unhygienic the vest and headband was the smell was horrible.

Very very disappointing experience, never again.

I would like to mention that after Xstrike team saw this review they reached out to me to address all the points above and resolved it, I appreciate their effort and interaction specially that I love the game and did not want this to be my last experience. I have a suspicious that they have bought reviews. Which I will tag Google to investigate.

About my experience: Called in the afternoon to ask about the booking for tonight. They told me to come as it will walk-ins only. They did not provide any further explanation. We came in 8.45pm and waited at the ticket counter in queue. At the counter they informed that the next available game time will be 9.30 pm. It was a 30 mins difference, wasn’t a big deal so we waited. Later somebody came from their team and informed it will now be 9.45pm. So again we waited patiently. It took another hour of back and forth by them telling us that the game is about to start. I was with my 6 yrs old son so it very inconvenient.

The staff, although seemed friendly, at times felt unknowledgeable. They gave a very heavy adult size vest to my 6 yr son and I requested them if they have any which would be appropriate for a child his age. They said no. Later one of the lady noticed and said he needs to wear the “child vest”. I found it wierd and tried not getting annoyed by the wrong information the previous guy provided. Later, same thing happened with gun too. They have a very heavy laser tag gun to my son who was not able to hold it properly. Another staff noticed and had to ask someone to give us a “child gun”. It wasn’t a gun, more like a gun shaped like a glove.

I got really irritated at the end. Due to sweating, they don’t provide water cooler nor any drinks on site. Instead they ask you to exit the arena and go upstairs to purchase an “Oasis plastic water bottle” for 10 AED. I found this a very cheap upsell tactic by the management and it was distasteful that they would see it appropriate on charging a premium for just water.

My son did had fun, but there was a lot of confusion with the Marshall instructions. They rushed on speaking and did not even ask if anybody understood the game play. They communication skill were 3/10 at best.

My sincere advice to this activity provider would be to provide free water on site even if have to place a designated area to drink. Stop being cheap please.

Train your Marshall for better communication skills.

If you different activity for you and your friends or family this place offers great experience First of all the place from the moment you enter the place you will find it designed like a battle field and everything taking the military theme even the people there dressing like soldiers and using walki talki to give each other orders you will feel like you in a military base and you are going to be a soldier first step you take card from them then you go for one of the registration machines there and you will enter you details so they will send all of you data and score to your email as well as you will see your score real time on leaderboards here at all times then after that you will go to the reception to pay your ticket i paid or two with upgrade for my gun I added sniper lens to catch more targets 195 AED Then after that you will wait for your turn and go to the dressing room to take your vest and gun and the head sensor band and put your stuff in locker then you go inside to your base to take your briefing then receive you mag ready to use then you will adjust the mood of your gun to automatic then you enjoy more than battle there with different themes every time you got killed you need to go back to the base to revive and if your gun emptied you need to take the mag out and reload it then continue playing the time for the game 90 minutes And no need to come with a big group because you play with other people so whatever your group count just go But i have few comments to make the experience really nice they need to make the two teams can easily identifiable in the battle field because it was really hard to know who is in my team and who doesn’t so many times I tried to shoot one of my team and they need to allow the running and hiding because it’s not logic to fight and you are walking into the field or coming to the battle field without using any hiding place because you can not run or hide you will be killed so easily and forced to go to the base to revive and that will take the fun away so i hope they will listen to our comments and make the battle great as it supposed to be Overall it was nice experience and really fun you...
