Awful. Decided to stop off at the cafe here after a long journey home. Asked for the breakfast option that includes avocado because I really wanted that for some reason today. Anyway, the woman on the till says she doesn't know which one that is with such a look of annoyance that I felt a little nervous about upsetting her any further. I skimmed the menu, found the full vegetarian breakfast which stated avocado was a part of the meal. Thought I was done until she, again, very annoyed, told me they were out of vegetarian sausages. Now, there's another branch of Morrisons in Solihull, George Road I think, where if this happens, they offer you something else from their food/drink menu. Not here though. I asked and she had to go and check this with somebody else. She came back. Reluctantly agreed we could fill the missing vegetarian sausage with something else. Even though she hadn't specifically asked this of another colleague, she slammed the idea of getting a drink for free instead of a food item because there was nothing else we wanted. My other half getting annoyed at this woman's attitude and lack of flexibility and I'm still trying to be understanding but it's hard because she keeps standing there huffing slightly because there's another customer behind us now in the queue (because we had planned all of this, clearly to annoy her). I asked for extra eggs, checked that avocado was definitely included and paid. Her till roll ran out so she replaced it. I waited for the receipt and the table number. Again a look of utter irritation that I was waiting patiently. How dare the customer stand there patiently! No receipt or table number until I asked for it. Was told she would bring it with our food. Another team member brought the food- a young girl whose foot was in a moonboot and generally looked exhausted. She set the food down and said she would be back to bring the toast that's part of the order. We told her there were no clean forks. She didn't know this. She went off to sort the forks out and bring our toast. 10 minutes later, rest of the food's gone stone cold and no toast and NO AVOCADA. Went back to the queue of doom, waited, same young girl brings the clean forks over for me to take from the basket. I asked about the toast but don't get a chance to ask about the missing avocado. Eventually she brings the toast round but with yellow dish gloves on touching the toast- the same ones I've seen her picking dirty plates up with. Unbelievable. My other half flagged down a passing colleague and explained, who then offered to bring some more toast and the avocado. Which she did a few minutes later but everything had just become so cold I should have just asked for a refund at that point. She tells us she's brought an extra avocado for us because of the inconvenience. I decide to let this awful experience slide. But then I take a bite of the much wanted avocado and it tastes...odd. It's all pretty much black underneath. That's right, gone off avocado anyone? You won't be surprised to hear we won't be going back to Sheldon...
Read moreMy experience at Morrisons feels stomach churning. Start with the cafe well that’s one to avoid. Tables always dirty and just look down the sides of the seats or under the tables. I always have to clean my table because I know they don’t. I’ve tried to give it so man opportunities but no more. I’ve had over cooked chips or so little chips that I think they thought I said no chips. It’s filthy and it’s unbelievable they ain’t been shut down. I’m not the only who cleans the table before we sit but there’s many others too. I’m sick of it now and I loved it when it first opened but they’ve got lazy and they don’t care and you see it.
The store itself really needs better lighting because it feels narrow. That milk section is a dangerous area and I’m surprised no one’s had an accident with the amount of sitting water. The fruit and veg is better at m&s. Now I’ve reduced my time here to only come in for things I can’t get from m&s and b and m bargains.
Music is depressing here and I think they have it because actually you would realise it’s not that busy. Strawberries are cheaper at m&s and the quality is better. They are over priced on a lot of things in my opinion.
They have a shortage of staff because I see managers stocking the shelves and I think that has meant that they can’t deliver in making it a better experience because they’re busy with jobs that they shouldn’t be doing.
Most of the staff are nice but I think some just don’t want to be there and they bring that negativity and I maybe wrong but it seems that way.
I thought this Morrisons when it first opened would be a game changer compared to others I’ve seen but it’s not.
I’m so glad I found m&s and b and m bargains because when k visit these stores they have a smile and it feels upbeat and refreshing. The lighting by the way is very good and go and have a look.
I will be surprised they even...
Read moreI had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at the Morrisons Sheldon store on Friday 13th June. While at self-checkout with my four sisters, I needed to split my shop into two transactions and void three items. A staff member named Sukhi came over with a terrible attitude eye-rolling, rude tone, and generally behaving like helping me was a huge inconvenience. I let that go, but things only got worse. She later pushed a trolley into my sister, didn’t apologise, and walked off. Then when a card machine displayed an error before I’d even tapped my card, she smirked and repeatedly said my card had declined, which was completely false and humiliating. Without proper explanation, she voided the transaction and moved it to a customer service till we weren’t even shown. When I unknowingly queued at a different till, she publicly snapped at me in front of customers saying “Do you not know how to listen?” and when I told her she was being rude, she literally said “I don't care” She then voided my transaction again and walked off with my items without saying where she was going. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it. This was witnessed by my younger sisters and other shoppers, completely unprofessional, demeaning and embarrassing. I reported it to the team leader, who was helpful and confirmed that card machines across the store had been faulty proving it wasn’t even my fault and apologised on her behalf. But Sukhi refused to apologise, including for physically pushing a trolley into my sister. The fact that a staff member can behave this way with no accountability, no apology, and clear arrogance is beyond belief. I genuinely hope Morrisons takes this seriously because this staff member is damaging your store’s reputation. I’ll be taking...
