The Old Court — Restaurant in Birmingham

I prefer to try be positive, but my recent experience at this pub was so terrible that I felt compelled to share it. We arrived at the pub with plenty time before the kitchen closing time of 9:00 PM. Despite the lack of a crowd, our food took a whopping 40 minutes to arrive. Two of the items we ordered were completely wrong and had to be sent back. The nachos were missing half of the advertised toppings, and when we inquired about the missing ingredients, we were informed that they were out of stock. The nachos were inedible, and after much back-and-forth with the waitress, we were finally refunded for them. Another member of our party ordered a steak cooked to a blue rarity, but it arrived well-done. We sent it back, but by the time it returned, everyone else had finished their meals. Once again, the steak was overcooked. At this point, we collectively decided that this pub was a lost cause. To add to the dismal experience, there was broken glass on the floor near our table. When we mentioned this to the staff, they blamed it on their "new menu and app that isn't live yet." For the sake of the future of this pub, I hope that their "new menu and app" comes with better-trained chefs and staff who are actually capable of doing their jobs. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I never leave bad reviews. But this experience was awful. We arrived about 7.40 (kitchen closed at 9pm). Pub was pretty empty so we expected food wouldn't take too long to arrive. We ordered food and drinks, and then had to wait 45 minutes for it to arrive. Food came and 2 items that were not right at all. Both items needed sending back. The nachos came with only half the toppings advertised, and we were told only after asking for the rest of the toppings that they didn't have. They were inedible, and after a lot of back and forth from the waitress they refunded us for that item. Someone on the table ordered a steak blue, and it came out well-done. It was sent back and came out after everyone else had finished their meals. Again, the steak was completely overcooked, but we collectively decided this place was a lost cause. Me my mom and daughter decided to have meal in this pub as it used to be great few years ago. There was very few people mainly drinking beer so we threw should get food resonably fast . We have ordere burger with chips, chicken Tikka masala and chicken nuggets with peas.and potato waffles. There was no kids menu printed in pub and no app. Let's start with 1h 15min wait until we received food. After watching 40min I went to lady on bar asking how long will food take. She was very apologizing and said 10 Max 15 min and food will be there. After an hour and frustrated 2 year old I made another trip to lady at the bar. I could tell she was stressed too and I tried to be understanding. She offered drink for my toddler. finally after over an hour wait our food got delivered straight by delivery driver and unpacked on plates. Al food was slightly warm. My toddler waffles vere hard as bricks and peas.was missing which we was unable to get. And naan bread ... Lacking in words. Definitely do...
