Been to this supermarket a couple of times before and thought it was pretty good and the lady that we have seen before is really friendly.
However, today we went in to buy some bubble tea and have a look around. We looked around the supermarket, with the guy behind the counter staring at us the entire time, which felt pretty uncomfortable. We picked up what we wanted and proceeded to the check out to look at the bubble tea options. Whilst we were choosing, the man behind the counter asked my boyfriend to empty his pockets so he could check because he saw him âstealâ something and put it in his pocket on cctv. As this was ridiculous and he either made it up or was mistaken, my partner emptied his pockets to show he had nothing. The man behind the counter did not apologise for being rude or making this mistake, and instead pointed to some photographs of people who had stole things which was on the wall, and said he had to check. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience and has put us off ever going in again.
I understand that you need to protect your shop from shoplifters, but you at least need to be sure before you accuse and treat your paying customers in this way. Itâs really not a very nice feeling to be accused...
Read moreWe saw previous reviews of customers being accused of stealing and we experienced one today, so we felt compelled to write this review. We went to the other chinese supermarket, on the same road, prior to visiting this store. When we entered into this store, this Chinese woman kept starring at us and after we paid, she accused us of stealing her products. She insisted looking into our bag and after realising that they were not her products, she said "Next time you must show us your bag before entering the shop." No apology offered when she treated us, the customers, like one of their slaves. Why should we show our bag to you? This is not an airport! For future reference to this woman, we wouldn't have made pleasantries asking "how are you" when we paid for our products, paid for the products properly and walked out the door calmly. If one were to steal something, then it would have been more than just a bottle of sauce. Avoid this place like a plague - rude staff, pricey products, limited range of items, and some old stocks lingering around compared to the other supermarket just 100 metres away...
Read moreThe products are okay, the prices are fair, and the location is convenient. But the blonde girl at the cashier? A complete rudeness. I came in today, chose items, went to cashier, smiled at her, and she rolled her eyes, pulled a face, and gave me the kind of dirty look you donât forget. And grab items aggressively. No hello, no thank you, no âhave a good day.â Just pure hostile energy, like customers are an inconvenience to her.
okay bae, Newsflash for you: this đ is đretail đ. If you canât manage basic manner, you shouldnât be standing at the till. People are spending their money here, nobody should have to pay and get treated like dirt in return. Nobody is asking the items for free.
So yeah, definitely Wonât set foot in here again. Go to 168 around the corner instead, same prices, way better attitude, and staff who actually know how to...
