Went for food first and for the price they charge you'd be hard pushed to find anywhere else that serves better grub don't get me wrong it ain't Michelin star quality but for less than a fiver you get a decent meal. Plus you'll need the sustenance for the expedition ahead. Do not under any circumstance become separated I stopped for a moment to look at a coffee table turned round and she was gone couldn't find my wife for 3 days eventually found her hysterical in the kitchen department she'd been walking in circles for hours no matter which way she went just kept coming back to the same vegetable rack display. We tried using Google maps but there's no signal underneath that steal building. Somehow we managed to make it out of kitchens and onto the next 306 departments. We eventually crawled our way out of the children's bedrooms section and saw light up ahead hooray, but alas it was just a wide selection of fanciful lighting complete with 2000 different types of lightbulb. I don't know how but we finally made our way out of the showroom section complete with 2 paper tape measures and a pocket full of pencils only to find this was only the halfway point we still had to negotiate the market place. After climbing past mountains of rugs, weird stuffed toys and monoliths of crockery we still were not done. It was now time to tackle the self service section. We slowly followed the myriad of aisle looking for the coffee table we came for. We located this through a maze of racking only to discover at this point we had made a fatal error. We had forgotten to stop and collect a trolley so back to the beginning of the level we went. Once we escaped the Labyrinthine like circuit and made it past the weeping lost children and oversized trolleys stacked with teetering piles of boxes to the checkout it was kindly pointed out to us that we had only picked up box 1 of 2. So after several days of aimless wandering 3 mental breakdowns 1 skinned shin (those trolleys are lethal) and a bag of mini Daim bar sweets we finally made it out with a coffee table. Would definitely recommend strong walking boots and several bottle of water. Coffee table was quite...
Read moreA recent visit to this store in Bristol store was a mixed experience. While the store layout was generally easy to navigate, the selection of [product category] was somewhat limited, and I found myself needing to search for assistance multiple times. The staff, once located, were helpful and friendly, offering assistance and product information, which was appreciated.
However, the overall cleanliness of the store could be improved. There were a few areas where stock appeared to be misplaced, and the floors could have been cleaner. The checkout process was efficient, and the staff member was polite, but the wait time was a bit longer than expected.
In conclusion, the store has potential, particularly with its friendly staff and ease of navigation. However, improvements are needed in maintaining cleanliness and potentially expanding the product range to enhance the overall customer experience. A more consistent stock management system would also be beneficial A recent visit to the store was a mixed experience. Item 2 LACK SHELF (self service area) not at Isle or location) eventually found it with help. CHECKOUTS.... no one to guide you to next available checkout. Two checkouts showing (express checkout) ie" card only", i was paying by cash this time so went to the first empty checkout NOT displaying express checkout. Item was scanned etc then told "sorry, we don't take cash" uhhh. Anyway, eventually sorted i decided to grab a few food items on the way out, got to checkout... Guess what?... Yep "sorry, we don't take cash!!!!!. Why on earth don't the management adapt the checkout signage to notify the customers or at LEAST have someone available to point us in the right direction?. It's not rocket science!. Overall a very stressful and indeed challenging and disappointing visit.
Here we go again (day2). Item's still showing as "IN STOCK" on line so tried again.... Couldn't find an item in the department as advertised so asked for help, quote, "oh sorry, that's downstairs in the Decoration department", OK. Couldn't find it in that department so asked for help again from someone else, quote, "oh sorry, that's upstairs in the Picture department"!!!!!!. Looked for mirror in the quoted self service Isle and location... Guess what?... Yep, not there!!!. So what should have been one visit to buy five items has taken two visits and only managed to buy one because either the items weren't in the location's as directed or not in stock as shown on line!. As for the queues!!!!, queuing now stretching back to the self...
