Kimling — Local services in Bristol

Me and my fam have been a long time customer of Kimling for probably over 20 years now, prob put hundreds into that place and we have never thought to leave a review! Over the years we’ve ordered a lot of different things off the menu: got big set meals for 10+ people all the way down to cheeky half and half comfort meals bought out of pocket money as I was growing up. Kimling have always been consistently amazing, very quick with orders and we have always had great service.

I’ve moved away from Bristol now but I have had cravings for a good Kimling from time to time, tonight though I come back for a home visit and just had a meal that was legit the best Chinese I’ve had. They changed the chips again! The salt and chilli fries are the best they have ever been, seriously tasted like something out of a fancy Chinese street food truck or something. Loads of spice, loads of flavour and extra crispy. The fried rice can’t be beaten, still not had any better anywhere else.

Best recommendations for stuff that we’ve had over the years: Kung Po Chicken Chicken balls are huge and crispy The crispy duck is fab Special chow mein with the pork and chicken i think it was, used to be served as a cut up breast ontop with the bbq sauce, the meat had crisp and flavour to it.

Anyways, obviously I highly recommend it, and it turns out they deliver now and accept card through ordering a collection on their site which they never used to, so more of a reason for people to get food from...

My wife and I took a chance and went here for the first time tonight. We had the Special with black bean sauce, king prawn chow mein and a chicken chow mein accompanied with a huge spring roll. The entire meal was outstanding. I have had house special with black bean sauce in five other Chineses takeaways along with King Prawn Cow Mein and none of them compare with Kimling's, it really was delicious, and the portions are very generous. It’s a take away and it’s also a street away from most traffic so most don’t know about this restaurant … BUT HANDS DOWN THE BEST TAKEAWAY IVE EATTEN FROM IN BRISTOL FOR CHINESE…. Being disabled and unable to cook I’ve eatten from hundreds of places … it’s not on eating apps …but they do online order and delivery… food always fresh...
