Attended today for the Spiderman party, my boys (aged 3 and 7) really enjoyed it and they wasn't wanting to leave when the session had ended. The place is sort of split into two....when you arrive at reception, to the right was a soft play area, a interactive ball pit and baby play area, all right next to a seated area where you can get drinks/snacks. The left part is a small closed off football pitch, then arcade games that you mostly have to pay extra for. Football tables/basket ball/table tennis. About 3 console screens. Then the vr section. 4-5 different options/types of vr. When attending I wasn't disappointed by the size of the place as i have been to Preston's to and felt it wouldn't be as big as I could see this on the photos on Chorley's Facebook page. The only things I would critique, would be they need signage, when I was on the park hall site, i saw a sign for gamer X being car park 4 but when I parked up, I had no clue where to go. Luckily my sister-in-law had arrived earlier than me and had scouted it out! Also 1hr sessions to me seemed not enough time. Others may argue there isn't enough to do but with the age of my kids I could of easily kept them happy for another half of full hour on top. I personally found the staff to be really attentive and there was plenty of them around to help with the equipment. It's a shame though that it will always get compared to Preston's larger site if you've been. :-( Overall me and my boys had a good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had the best time at Gamer X. Ishi was absolutely amazing! She was brilliant with my daughter who is 5 and she can be very demanding, but Ishi was just perfect with her.. my son who is 10 absolutely loved it, we were the only ones there at this time, which was great as heās very quiet. The only thing I would change to improve is having more staff, as I felt Ishi was rushed off her feet, ordering/serving food, showing me and my lot how to hold the controllers as they were very sensitive and then another family came in and I didnāt want to keep approaching Ishi to ask if my son can go back on the VR ride machine. Checking front desk, whilst helping us.. I did feel a bit bad as I didnāt want to just help myself on the games. But overall I would definitely return, Ishiās customer service was outstanding. And even told me about the parties as my son enjoyed the experience that much, so Iām definitely going to have a look into...
Read morePreviously been to Gamer X Preston and thought this would be something similar⦠it is not! This is tiny, a lot of broken equipment, no staff covering the Vr headsets and they kept needing resetting - went to try find staff multiple times and both struggled to set it up so we gave up. One of the kids had an injury playing the small footy pitch, asked for an ice pack, 10 mins and a few more times asking and someone came into reception from outside with a jug of ice. They do not have appropriate first aid equipment for the venue.
Spoke to what I assume was a manager at one point to ask where the rest of the equipment was, he said this is it. I pointed out Preston is much bigger and he agreed, when I asked why they are charging the same price he answered his mobile therefore ignoring me.
Will not be going back. Absolute...
