Tesco Superstore — Local services in City of Edinburgh

Good evening everyone !!!

I wish to share my experience in Tesco in Edinburg hermiston gate. Today my beastie join me for food shopping and please listen to this!?!

We got are food shopping done and we did head straight to pay for it. Alert customers there is a horrible person she maybe 50 years old.

So long story short I had my shopping and one Stella beer so I can have it with dinner food.

Lady at the counter said to me I look drunk and I cannot buy my shopping because of the beer and I look drunk?!?!?! Lisen now tesco team🤬

I'm on my medication for the last couple of years and I'm so sorry sometimes I speak slower. I don't want to mention the way we been treated we both are a Polish and I speak very well English.

This lady was very ignorant and speak idiotic way we cannot buy our shopping ,even removing one bottle of beer each from our shop and we've been totally burnt down the shop manager was called and I'm absolutely disappointed with this situation what sort of people get in these very responsible places to work as the shop managers and the management team.(The shop manager was very ignorant and didn't want to speak with us just because I was right !!!!

Pure shame such a big name but very low syandards.

I explain to the shop manager that she don't smell any alcohol it's my £90 Dolce Gabbana perfume and if you want to smell my neck he's more than welcome lol joke.

I'm absolutely disgusted the way I've been treated and I hope nobody goes to Hermiston gate to Tesco's and be on the counter what is horrible person it was just just mean and it's horrible I will not return to Tesco and well done #aldi

Visited this store in hermiston gait yesterday at 16.40pm, the store was very quiet. I am disabled and required help. I asked Lauren who did everything but avoid helping and suddenly went for a break. After I got help and went to check out there was only 3 checkouts open and after I struggled walking the helper said let’s go to self service. I asked Fiona if she was running checkouts and expressed my disgust and how concerned I was at how disabled people are treated by Tesco and she replied “I’ll take it on board” NO RESOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!! She had 4 staff members at closed tills and two young lads busy laughing and chatting at self service tills. The help I had said it’s acjoke in here. I asked to see the duty manager Chris Blackwood who was in no rush and as I had to leave the store he simply COULDNT BE BOTHERED 😕 if we stay away then they’ll have to sort out the mess of poor service to all. Fiona was too busy gossiping with a tall slim till operator with blonde permed like hair SORRY STATE but too used to getting our money without providing decent service. Buyer be ware if you need help and I hope Fiona finds herself in a position where she needs help and it’s denied then maybe she’ll take note, it’s simple to me if you can’t do the job leave and get one you can...

2 stars for the quality of food especially the vegetables always fresh and in good condition. Sadly the lack of stars is down to the security guards who stopped myself and my family whom they said we had stolen steak then accused us of stealing sweets. We happily showed them our receipt of what we bought and let them go through our bags to check for this mysterious stolen steak and sweets but to no avail they clearly accused us wrongly ALSO they stood chatting in another language which was quite rude in itself, then asked about a Dr Pepper I had in a bag that I had bought from another shop which I had a receipt for. The only good outcome was they apologized for getting it so wrong but I don't think it's right they accused us of stealing items we clearly didn't have. Yes the beepers went off as we walked through the door surely checking our bags and receipts were enough but to accuse of us of stealing steak then sweets then Dr Pepper was a bit extreme when there was no evidence of this.
