Owner has asked for specific feedback for my 3 star rating so here goes: We were sat upstairs at the back as the place was incredibly busy and there were no spaces downstairs. This meant we couldn't really see our children on the soft play equipment at all. Someone could have easily walked off with them downstairs and it just didn't feel safe. We have been to most of the soft plays across Lothian and Borders and this although large and interesting, felt the most unsafe. There were a lot of older children which is fair enough, but my daughter (nearly 4) was frequently upset having been pushed numerous times. She ended up with an awful scrape down her back at which point we decided to leave. People with younger children should be seated downstairs where they can at least see the toddler space and keep a closer eye. This also stops little children coming up and down the stairs. I saw/had to help one very little boy who was lost, crying and wet and it took a while to find his parents who were seated on another level. It's just to big for the little ones with not enough monitoring.
3 stars as staff were friendly enough, food was okay (however both children left their tomato and basil pasta saying it wasn't nice) and it's fine for...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Timetwisters and unfortunately we won’t be returning. Upon arrival we stood in a queue at reception and after over 10 minutes overheard that this was for people who had not booked and were waiting for a space. At no point did the person behind the desk highlight this or ask us if we had a booking when we entered which we had. We then had to wait a further 5 minutes as there were no tables. When we finally got into the play area it was hugely overcrowded. My son enjoyed playing in the larger play frame and I took my one year old into the under 3’s section. There were a large number of older children playing in here for the entire duration of our visit which felt extremely unsafe for my young child who cannot yet walk and was being frequently bumped into by much older children. There did not appear to be any staff policing the area and certainly no one there to signpost the children to the area appropriate for their age. I frequently visit play areas with my 2 children and we love to try out different ones, however unfortunately this is the worst experience we have had at any of the play areas we have been to and we will ensure to avoid...
Read moreThe facility is fine, but sadly, the employees are choosy and unfriendly. I frequently go there with my baby and place a large order for food and drinks. Although the services were generally somewhat pricey, I decided to pay for them. Usually, I spend roughly 50£ for a visit. I have, however, never received the appropriate care for the money I spent. In particular, my 20-month-old daughter frequently needs extra time before eating and using the restroom. The staff demands that I leave as soon as the two hours have passed and charges me more than £10 for the late leave. It was a negative encounter because it appeared that the workers lacked empathy. I asked them to wait a moment, as I had to clean and finish feeding my daughter. The man was nasty and disrespectful, even though I asked for a moment to clean and finish feeding my daughter. In particular, he threatened to charge extra if you did not leave right away. Since he doesn't realise how hard it is to care for a baby, I was wondering where he came from.
I wanted to bring my baby to here every weekend because it is close to my home but i decided to never come back after a so terrible...
