Beijing Chinese — Local services in Colchester

I'm not a local so no biased review from me at any takeaway I visit, I'm also a Google local guide so my review and opinion can be trusted and I'm very fair with all reviews....if it deserves a 5 star its well deserved and if i rate it a 1....its bad! Anyways, Nicé staff at Beijing, but terrible portion size and very very bland in flavour. Main meal served in a metal rice container (only place I've visited in whole of the UK that I've ever received this from any Chinese) and it cost £8 for a special curry and chips..... absolutely robbed! The curry was like water, no proper consistency to it at all.... Asked for it to be extra extra extra hot & spicy and they chucked in sliced red chillis and made no difference to the actual taste of the curry at all. Whoever rated this place 5 star either works for them or easily happy with quantity, quality and value for money.....in my very well travelled opinion.....it lacked all 3 above on a major scale. I always order my Chinese from here as it is good food but tonight they showed that there customer service skills are really lacking. After delivering us the wrong food, they questioned this (a bit too much) when we rang up and then told us to replate it (as my partner had plated some of it before he realised) and show the driver before he gave us our replacement and then he would take it back. Really for the inconvenience they should have given us something like a free drink for our trouble or just told us to keep it. Not the best customer service ever when you had been waiting over an hour to get what you ordered! Looking through the reviews this seems to be a regular occurrence at the moment so I will be questioning if I order from here again as when I’m hungry,...

Food was okay, although service was terrible.

When I called to order I was instantly told to wait and put on hold before I could even speak. After a few minutes of waiting I was able to place my order. I was then asked my address, after which I was asked where abouts it was. I told them the area and they seemed uncertain. Surely they are able to use GPS or Google Maps in this day and age?!

After that headache more problems arose when the delivery time was a total of 30mins later than the ETA I was given!

As a result I will not be ordering from Beijing Cantonese again, which is a shame as the food was quite good, but I'd rather go elsewhere and avoid the stress and uncertainty of...
