Lucky House — Local services in Coventry

I really do not understand how this place has such a low google review. I have been eating from here for the last two years, usually a couple of times a month, and never had an issue, food is always nice, delivery is usually within 45 minutes, foods safety certificate is high and up to date, prices are not bad. Sure like any restaurant you may have to wait longer once in a while due to being busy but that's hardly the end of the world.

and no, I am not paid by anyone to write this, I don't know the owners, I have never even been there on foot, I just happen to think the google review bombing here is not reflective of this restaurant overall and as you can see from my profile, I am just an ordinary bloke in Coventry who is not afraid of leaving reviews critical or otherwise.

Food ordered via uber…delivered by shop staff. Food never arrived despite the restaurant challenging me accusing me of lying and had received food…awful customer service, rude staff. Can’t comment on food as never received any

Following the above the “manager” came to my address and when I confirmed no one else had he disappeared quickly. The restaurant called me and I spoke to the “delivery driver” who asked why I was lying and made some description of who had taken the food and advised he had a picture of my front door which I requested (never received) I advised was wiling to provide ring doorbell footage.

When I then spoke to staff again they advised they would refund if I deleted my review - I said I would consider when received refund

If I could leave zero I would. Lady said an hour, that's fine. Hour and 20mins later, I ring and she tells me another 20mins and was extremely rude. Husband rings back 20mins later. Politely speaks to the women, says he appreciates it boxing day, he just wants an honest time. She said 5mins and put the phone down on him, he rings back 5mins later, again the lady was extremely rude and unprofessional and then tells my husband she actually cancelled our order 45mins ago. Looking at the reviews on just eat after....I wish I hadn't ordered as looks like this has happened loads of times. Awful place. First time placing an order and will...
