Great location. Lots of space. Is overdue a thorough clean and maintenance update unfortunately. Difficult to safely access head height cupboard with glasses in as hinge broken and heavy to hold open. Aggressive notices about putting bins out and recycling but no cardboard/paper bin insert within recycling bin.
Day trip to Haddon Hall interrupted by a phone call from the Caretaker reminding us to put the bins out ( how could we forget with the posters and section in the welcome booklet).
Loose towel rail. Loose bathroom tap. Dirty upstairs bath, especially plug hole.
Last visitors rubbish on terrace.
Bushes in parking area overground.
Games room looks sad. ? Has someone been living on the sofa?
Large table in upstairs sitting room dirty. Biscuits crumbs and sticky coffee cup marks.
TV remote batteries flat. Had to use our own.
Towels, bedding and beds...

The house didn't disappoint it was just as good as I remembered it. This time I slept in the master bedroom and the bed was huge!
Discover a great new walk (recommended by the owners).
A relaxing weekend once again in this beautiful house.

Everything that we needed was there and more. I loved the artwork around the house and the mix of modern and a vintage 70's vibe. On arrival, we all immediately felt at home as it is so welcoming. The layout is very sociable but there are also areas for privacy should you need it. The location was perfect - just a short 5 -10 minute walk into the beautiful, historic market town of Bakewell. Our only regret was that we didn't get to use the garden as it was a wet weekend but that means that we'll just have to come back! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for a large gathering of family...
