Me, My Partner and her friend entered the store we walked to the back of the shop looking at bags for hiking, We noticed straight away and member of staff followed us to the back of the shop they asked us if we needed any help and we said 'No, Thank you' continued looking at the bags they continued to stare and linger, (Like I know I'm like Chris Hemsworth and Prime Brad Pitt rolled into one but come on) After 4-5 minutes of continuous 'super undercover' (Sarcasm) monitoring by the staff member they again asked if we wanted any help which again we answered 'No, Thank you' only then for the member of staff to stand 4 yards away from us scaring straight at us for around a minute. Before leaving the shop empty handed, Good job that pesky member of staff was there as casual security or we may have shoplifted the whole shop.
Long story, Short.
Go to mountain Warehouse which we did and weren't harassed or stalked by a member of staff, I mentioned the issue to the lad at Mountain Warehouse and he instantly knew the woman who was staring at us.
Notice to management may I suggest a little more customer focused training with your staff and less of the overly aggressive predatory stalking as it may make people question why they are in the store in the first place.. The individual member of staff was a female in her 30-40s wearing sunglasses (Proper undercover detective) with low sense of awareness as I think she thought she was being subtle, Which really wasn't the case.
Be careful out there.. You never know...
Read moreBought three items from Millets. After two weeks, two items were delivered. The delivery company (My Hermes - what kind of a reputable company would use them!) advised the third item was lost. Contacted Millets who would not refund or replace the item immediately. They require you to fill in a form so that they can 'investigate' (My Hermes were able to tell us the item was lost and would have done the same for Millets had they bothered to pick up the phone - they could then have simply refunded or replaced). We were told the investigation would take "a long time". This was three days before our first holiday in two years. We were left without a key item for our holiday and did not have the funds to buy another elsewhere. Most retailers would replace immediately not expect the customer to be put out even more by having to complete an arduous form. There was no apology from customer services (who were amongst the worst I've encountered). The customer service adviser then hung up on me after telling her we were unhappy with the response to the issue. I wouldn't suggest anyone order online...
Read moreBrilliant store I went in to look at tents. While looking through the selection of tents I was approached by a member of staff called Aaron who asked me if I needed any help aaron explained about the different tents on offer and suggested buying an air tent. Now me being in the scouts and used to using poles I was very weary about buying a air tent aaron then offered me the chance to put one up to see for myself how easy they are to put up which I accepted.
Once upstairs aaron got a air 400 out and showed me how to put it and wow was it easy I even pumbed one section my self it literally took 5 minutes and the tent was up.
Because of the space inside and how easy it was to put up I brought it then and there for only £250
I would definitely recommend millilts at bakewell and would like to thank Aaron for his time and knowledge I will be popping back in the future for...
