Has this place changed hands? Used to be good but after last night's takeaway (at £21.60) it's quality has certainly went downhill... Ordered mixed pakora which was really dry and there was onion rings in there which in my view was a way of putting less pakora in there and I was not impressed at all. The mains of chicken dopiaza (chicken had been cooked previously, possibly for a chicken kebab) was also very dry in a watery onion sauce which is also supposed to have tomatoes in it. My husband's lamb rogan josh didn't appear and instead it was a lamb patia (indian style sweet and sour and bright red I might add) that we had been given in error. I originally gave the Almanzar a good review. But after taking a break from it we came back after around a 6 months. To try again and our last 2 visits in the space of 2 weeks have been very dissapointing. The lamb korma we had the sauce was very thin and was so sweet it was not edible. We then got the 16inch box and a garlic and chilli chicken. The box was not good. Couldn't tell what was what under the hard batter. And what annoyed us was we ordered on app to be ready for 8.15. Usually the word food means it can be consumed what i received tonight was vile I genuinely can’t even think of one thing nice to say, I have no idea where it gets it’s positive reviews for but clearly they have zero taste buds or extremely intoxicated. I genuinely thought I had eaten the worst this side of Glasgow has to offer unfortunately this place has now taken that position.
