Tesco Extra — Local services in Great Britain

Firstly this Tesco used to be outstanding then the reduced the store size to allow for their fulfilment centre which if you have an unfortunate interaction with the staff who work for that part (dressed in Tesco uniform) they will not help you they simply say they don’t work in store ? Absolute madness. The stores cleanliness is questionable the staff who are filling ignore you and happy to block aisle with cages and stand around in their phones ( genuinely having phone calls ) the meat your lucky to get a day never mind 2, freezers most of the time empty and don’t bother asking someone they just say if it’s not there. We don’t have it. The fruit and veg poorly maintained a lot of rotten items which puts you off buying the not rotten ones. Self scans regardless of when you go if they will leave their conversation you’re lucky if not be prepared to stand around eventually you will get help but usually with an attitude. This went from being one of the best Tesco in the area to the worst so quickly and I genuinely can’t figure out how or why definitely needs an overhaul and staff trained on customer service certainly not the Tesco service that the company promises...

Today I’ve cancelled my Tesco+ card due to the continued bad service in this store. From not having delivery arrive to having to having a check of 20 items after I’d shopped scanned as I went to save time. Felt wry embarrassed standing as my bags were gone through and my shopping which I’d carefully packed being messed about. Even a shoplifter had to leave the store with goods befor e they can be legally stopped. Today was the last straw. I could not get help at checkout with an item that needed approval. A man beside me had been waiting when I arrived for help. One person seemed to be dealing with 2 people who were having problems with self checkout, a common occurrence in your store. Eventually I left everything in trolley and left. There I saw another lady who was supposed to be helping customers standing chatting to friends. If you go to Tesco on Dalmarnock Road always check your receipt because without fail there will always be something they over charge you for. I've just been wrongly charged for an item, a wrong label on a product, the checkout woman took the item back but did not refund so I had to go to customer service, she did not take the "wrong" label off and gave to another memberof staff to put back on the shelf and when I told her she had not taken the "wrong" label off she just shrugged her shoulders, so another customer will be scammed . This is not the only incident I've had, with their misleading signage or wrong labels on. I think it must be a training requirement that they scam customers. Staff are so unhelpful with no care about their bad service. My rate is not 1 star, I only had to put that to log this comment, my real rating is...
