DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Ordering from here was a mistake.
I've ordered through just eat many times with no issues but yesterday ordered from Balti Club. Food never came and upon ringing the restaurant I was rudely told I had been rung five times. I had not. My phone details hadn't changed online in over two years. Food came over two hours after ordering and this time the driver told me, rudely, that I had given them a wrong number; which is strange as both the restaurant and he had rung me on it only moments earlier to let me know my food was, finally, on its way.
What a surreal farce! My partner and myself were left shrugging with bemusement as we ate a very, very poor meal. There are many options of takeaway in Glasgow, use this one at your peril.
I would give minus numbers on the review if I could. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.
update Thanks for you reply to my review guys. You're right, I am confused. I'm confused that you were unable to deliver my food to my door, a simple task every other takeaway restaurant has achieved with ease. I'm confused that you were unable to use a number that has been used by other restaurants with ease. Which lie are you going to stick too, that I didn't answer my phone or the number didn't exist? I see you've replied to the many other reviewers who's food didn't arrive, I can still read their reviews so your hilarious sulks about having the review removed are clearly unfounded.
You had a simple job to do, a job every other takeaway restaurant has achieved with ease. It was beyond you and your amateurish establishment. You seem to want to insult your way out with excuses, but ultimately you failed to achieve what other restaurants deliver with ease. The review is accurate....

I ordered from Balti Club Glasgow and ended up feeling physically sick after eating their food. The quality was beyond poor: • Mixed grill was covered in raw garam masala powder — totally overpowering and never asked for this or seen this in a mix tikka before. • Lamb tikka was deep-fried, not tandoori. • Chicken tikka poori was just a watery curry dumped in a container with a flat poori bread. • The pizza no fresh base it was dry, tasteless, mince was tasteless and the “lamb” topping looked and tasted like diced turkey or pork — definitely not lamb meat.
Everything was badly prepared, flavourless, and seemed thrown together with no care. This place is a health risk, not a takeaway.
I genuinely felt ill after eating this and would never order again. Stay well clear.
The owners seriously need to reconsider their approach — either improve massively or shut the doors.
It was genuinely one of the worst takeaway meals I’ve ever had. If you care even slightly about quality food, stay far away from this place. I wouldn’t serve this to anyone — not...
Read moreI think the food here is, on average, pretty good, but a handful of things are genuinely exceptional. This five star rating is intended to apply to those things which are now staples.
These outstanding things are, in my experience, in descending order of quality:
the tarka dal (seriously, this is a cut above any other tarka dal i've ever had, and I have had a lot of it, and it is also vegan) the pakora. In general this place does, imo, the best pakora in town. The vegetable and mushroom varities are particularly top. They also have some interesting ones such as spinach and jalapeno, and hot and sour. the naan. The garlic and coriander, garlic chilli and the peshwari are top-drawer naans and good portion sizes too.
I have no experience of the issues that others describe in these reviews (long wait times, sometimes burnt/overcooked food and unpleasant interactions staff). My positive experiences may be an artifact of the fact I only go there and collect stuff in person, and eat from a limited portion of the menu...
