First time here, a friends choice. Atmosphere was cozy. There are two different rooms. One had pretty uncomfortable school like chairs and music too loud for conversation,so we asked to be switched to the other room.As regards service all the girls were amazing. Very friendly, helpful and service was first class.. There is a short menu. Flat iron steaks, burgers etc. We asked for well done steaks which although tasty were a bit tough and chewy. Peppercorn and blue cheese sauces were excellent, as were the light and crisp skinny fries. One special word of praise must be said about a side called Blooming onion. I don't know where they get onions this size. Cleverly cut it looks like a Cauliflower deep fried and tastes absolutely delicious. See photo as this culinary delight is difficilt to describe.Crisp Kale and green beans were also tasty . With a little more attention to the steak, this would be a perfect meal. I had a beautiful dessert, which tasted like Terry's choc orange. The restaurant is situated half way along woodside road on the right, heading from Charing Cross. Thanks again to the staff for making this a pleasant experience.

Firstly, the staff here were exceptional! Definitely the best customer service we’ve had throughout our entire stay in Glasgow. Everyone was so kind and willing to go the extra mile. The restaurant was busy as expected but the food was fast. We ordered two medium rare steaks with the blooming onion and the beef dripping chips. My steak was slightly more rare than medium rare, I didn’t mind as I’m always up for trying new things. The chips were slightly disappointing as some were too thick and hard and more wedges than chips. I personally didn’t like the Blooming Onion as I expected it to have the texture of an onion ring but instead the onion was quite hard and had a charred taste, however, I think this is completely a personal preference. We were also disappointed they didn’t provide the popcorn and ice cream like most Flat Iron restaurants do but that was down to maybe not doing our research! Overall, we’d definitely come back as for the price the steak was brilliant.

What was this? We looked at the reviews and expected so much more. Disappointing. The best part are the staff who are very friendly but no this was not good. We sat in the bar area for a Saturday lunch which has typical west end furniture. It’s a sports bar so the atmosphere is loud and filled with young folks out to revel. We had the special steaks which were cooked to our specifications but arrived cold making them chewy. The blue cheese topper was simply some blue cheese crumbled on top of my steak and not a sauce. The fries were smothered in some form of mayo (I ordered Parmesan and truffle) and the vegetables had the life oiled right out of them. The place needs a serious clean and a bit of investment - see photo of tape holding the lamp together. On street car parking makes access difficult. Toilets were functional but not for those who might have difficulty going downstairs to a bunker. Ach not the best.

I had been to FF a few times for meals and they had always been lovely, including a fantastic graduation meal. However on this occasion last night, all those good memories were tarnished by such a terrible experience. We arrived at the restraunt for our booking at 8 o'clock. I had booked the table for a large group for a 30th birthday dinner and was told they could certainly accommodate us. We arrive and we realise we are sitting in the noisy bar area. We were directly under a speaker and it was so loud we couldn't hear one another unless we were right next to each other. I get up to go to the toilet and realise that there is free tables in the restraunt part, and ask if it would be possible to move because it was far too loud to have dinner. The waitress does check but tells us we can't move because there is no room. This was very upsetting to start as we wanted the night to be spent chatting over steak not screaming to our table neighbors. We figure if there's nothing that can be done, we should just order. The waitress asks us what we'd like to eat but we haven't been given the specials or talked through the very small menu. We then shout our orders at the waitress over the noise of the DJ about 8.30, and wait for our food to arrive. 40 minutes pass and there's still no sign of our food coming. We ask the waitress and she says it's literally being plated out. Another 10 minutes later we still haven't seen anything, and we ask a second time for our food, this time walking into the restraunt area to do so (which incidentally, had a large table of 8 free and several smaller tables free). I see there's several steaks sitting out and he tells me there for our table and they are just coming. They do arrive a minute or two later, but the problems continue. 3 of the steaks were cold to the touch, and when we told the waiter he replies "well they just came off the flat iron" in a rude tone. The plates were stone cold as well which wouldn't have helped. We ask to have them reaheated because we didn't want to eat cold steak (which involved them being cooked past the desired doneness). Several side orders don't turn up as well as a number of different sauces and sides nobody ordered. We begin to eat while waiting for the extra sides we DID want to arrive. Admittedly, the food was delicious and I certainly can't fault the taste. When we finish we ask to see the bill to find a few errors. At this point we're quite upset with how the evening has turned out, and the waitress agrees to fix it. However we still want to speak the the manager and discuss our concerns with how the establishment had been run that evening. We ask to the manager and were told to wait and they'll go get him. We wait 10 minutes (it's about half 10 now) and we asked for a second time. The waiter we ask stipulates he is trying but couldnt get in touch with him but he would try again. Eventually he comes up and we explain all that had happened. He tells us that there is new management, three of the staff on were new and that's probably why we had so many issues. We point out that we hadn't received any acknowledgement from how terrible the evening had been except from the waitress who served us who had told us she was new (she was actually very nice and was probably the only reason we didn't walk out completely). We are offered vouchers but we refuse, we didn't want to return to spend more money at a place that had ruined a special night. While the manager did try to resolve our concerns, we still feel the night was a shambles. We run our own establishment in the catering business and there was a terrible amount of mismanagement. Certainly won't be returning and I'm very sorry to say somewhere we once loves has...

My recent excursion to this so-called "steak" restaurant was a symphony of culinary disasters and incompetence that should be preserved for posterity as a textbook example of how not to run an establishment.

To begin, their blatant disregard for even the most basic customer requests was astonishing. We kindly asked for a medium-rare steak, a request that should be well within the grasp of any self-respecting steakhouse. Instead, they presented us with a well-done abomination that seemed like it had spent an eternity on the grill.

But hold on, they weren't done embarrassing themselves. In a shocking display of audacity, they then served us a blue steak, as if they had misread "medium rare" as "completely raw." It was as if they were determined to explore the entire spectrum of steak doneness, except the one we ordered.

And let's not forget the pièce de résistance – the service. Our server promised to rectify the situation by removing a drink from the bill, only to deliver a bill that was untouched, as if her memory was as undercooked as their steaks. When we dared to ask for a corrected bill, she, in an awe-inspiring display of incompetence, managed to return with the very same erroneous bill, as though they had a shortage of paper on which to print new ones.

In summary, if you seek an evening filled with disappointment, disdain, and dreadfully cooked steak, look no further than this "restaurant." It's a masterclass in how not to operate an eatery, and I wouldn't wish this dining experience upon my...
