I took my gtr3 pro sports watch in for a warranty test due to the battery draining faster than usual and not being able to turn off the sleep tracking. I left it with them for three days. Not only did they fail to complete the battery test properly but they also ignored the whole sleep tracking issue.

Then..upon collection I was informed that the warranty wasn't valid anymore due to the watch not having the original straps.

The straps serve no function apart from attaching it to a wrist. They don't drain the battery or boost the watches performance in any way yet.. without the original ones, cex won't honour their own warranty.

They claimed the straps where not like a charging cable needed to be the original ones. I counter claimed that phones do indeed need a correct type of charger for a proper and efficient charge but I was not heard. my counter claim that the straps in no way charge anything, was ignored as was my reminder that when I ordered it nearly 1.5years ago, the straps weren't the original ones then either, and was met with the standard wall of policy repetition.

This isn't the first time cex has failed to adequately test a gadget before selling it so if you're planning on buying something more than a dvd or game worth more than £5...I strongly recommend you...

Have had to bring my phone in to replace as fualty 5 times. This time the charging connector had shorted and melted in the bed right next to me, it burnt the sheet on my bed while I was sleeping. This happened a month ago, and could only take the phone in today. As it happens, I'd had to pack my soaking wet tent in the morning, and the phone got wet in my pocket. So when they opened up the phone there was a little water in the back. I explained what had happened and that it was perfectly dry when the incident occurred, I asked them to unscrew it to prove that there was no water inside the electrics, they refused to, and despite all my previous problems refused to give me credit, I wiped the water off put the battery back in and started the phone, it worked perfectly, but they still refused to replace/credit me. Next stop Newspapers. Dangerous phones that are being regurgitated without a proper service. Incidentally at least three of the previous phones had a dodgy charging connector that would frequently need to be fiddled with to charge. Am worried how many other people this could happen to, just hope nobodies house burns down and...

I l9ve this place. I think everyone knows what they do. Its just that they do have some brilliant cheap good quality electronics, Games Consoles, Phones, Smart watches, every games consoles Games to purchase very very cheaply. The exchange of your old stuff is good too so long you want something from inside the store. Always go for that option as it does get abit tight on how much cold hard Cash you get but hay hoo thats Life guys. So long as you know exactly what you want precisely and stick to it, don't get side tracked looking at a higher spec of what you want, you won't go wrong. You might even find something that you thought you would never find because the product doesn't exist but you will find the odd treasure. I did for an old first Xbox controller, it was some special edition at the time they first came out and the lead n special connector for it. I made my mind up i would never find the old part again. Anyway give it a look, even look in the window. You'll go back to your childhood on some things they got. Recommend a look at least anyways. Have a...
