Chefoo Chinese take away — Local services in Great Britain

We’ve ordered from Chefoo several times now and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently delicious, portions are generous, and the prices are more than fair – our most recent order came to £59.70, including delivery and service, which felt like great value for the amount and quality of food.

This time, we received a lovely surprise: complimentary prawn toast and prawn crackers – a thoughtful touch that made the meal feel even more special.

Here’s what we got:

2 Singapore Vermicellis – Spicy, packed with flavour, and perfectly cooked.

Sweet & Sour Battered Pork (HK Style) – Classic and comforting, with a great balance of tang and sweetness.

Salt & Chilli Chips – A bit of a miss this time around; tasty seasoning but they came out a little soggy.

Black Bean Mixed Vegetables – Fresh, crisp, and smothered in a rich, garlicky sauce.

Prawn Dumplings with Sweet Chili Sauce (6 pcs) – Juicy and flavourful with a nice kick.

Crispy Shredded Chilli Beef – The standout dish. Crunchy, sweet, spicy – absolutely addictive.

Delivery was quick and everything was neatly packed and piping hot. Overall, Chefoo continues to be a go-to for a reliable, satisfying Chinese takeaway.

Thought we'd try this place for the first time last night as we're only just down the road. Collected our meal so can't comment on delivery. The staff member was really friendly when I arrived. But, onto the food. Probably one of the best Chinese takeaways we've ever had. Still hot when I got home. Really tasty and plenty of it. This will be our new go to Chinese. Absolutely brilliant. I'm not sure what the people who have written bad reviews are talking about. Not over priced, certainly not bland and definitely cooked superbly. 45 minutes late, Massively overpriced and completly tasteless and bland.

So I ordered a standard chicken curry with boiled rice and chips A pretty standard order.

45 Minutes after ordering and 1 phonecall later the food arrives and I plate up and dig in and to my surprise I thought my tastebuds had died out of the blue as literally the entire meal tasted of nothing and is comparable to slop from third world prisons.

Genuinely wouldnt feed this garbage to a stray animal as im convinced the rubbish they could eat from bins would have more flavour and be more tasty than this waste of money.

£18 for a tasteless bland meal with a 45 min late delivery.
