So I went to watch Deadpool and Wolverine no problem they asked what movie I said to tickets to Deadpool and Wolverine no problem I paid and walking in 2 or 3 weeks later go to watch alien Romulus the person working say " hi what movie are you here to watch " in a snarky tone then I say " one ticket to a alien Romulus please" as he says " any ID " and I was a bit shocked so I said " well I have my libery card ( it does not have a photo of me) but that's all I have" and he says in a more rude and fed up tone " that won't do" and then I explain that I watched a movie same 15+ age rateing weeks ago and they didn't check me ( I was speaking in a calm nice voice for all of this) and what ID is a 15 year old ( I am 15 and very mature and tall over 6ft and have a bit of facel hair) ment to cary) and he froze for a hot minute before saying in the most rude tone I have still heard to this day " it's up to the staff to check" as I'm thinking why you are guarding this with your life I'm just trying to watch a movie your underpaid and work at this slightly dirtier place then it should be so I walk out the the place after 5 minutes of back and forth so I ring my dad who comes and explains my age and everything but no they still won't let me in so I'm just disappointed with a customer service I know they have to enforce rules but when it makes a massive line and I got parents and the only ID that's not my passport they do t let me in its frustrating I use to love it but now it's getting way expensive the staff are getting rude and it's getting more dirty that what I have to say sorry for any spelling mistakes or paragraphs that dont make sence I'm dyslexic and I find it...
Read moreIts a cinema. There are chairs to sit in while watching the film. This is shown on a conveniently placed screen. The people, once they have waited in the painfully slow queues for their tickets then usually buy masses of loud food to crunch and crinkle, to glug and munch throughout the film - which helps you stay awake if you've picked a dull one. The search for your seat can be entertaining especially if somebody has mistakenly taken your appointed one - better still if they have arranged their horrific array of nachos and popcorn, chocolate and bucket of fizzy poison on their lap and amusingly slip the lot when you jab them on the arm and say shift. This also produces a delightful sticky feel to the carpets. The staff are ok on the whole - vaguely disinterested and lacking in human vitality but that is probably a wider malaise of our culture as a whole. The film choices are the obvious ones - rarely off the beaten track and rarely anything other than american. The other reviews here have pointed out the toilets smell of wee - not noticed that but it is hardly a shocker. Those who are a bit peckish after their bucket of pop, tray of nachos, popcorn, chocolate and perhaps hotdog can further enhance their health with a nandos next door, or a chinese or a beer. Truly we are blessed - what joy it is to live in 21st...
Read moreUnfortunately we were unlucky as we booked to see Moana 2 with my partner and two children. but it came about the viewing would be on the same day we recent national weather warnings. Still we try to attend on the day but unfortunately could not get to the theatre due to trees blocking the roads and floods. Cineworld website states they have a policy of cancelling at least 2hours prior to the movie time, so I was trying to call them because I still had time to do this as I do not live local to the theatre and had arranged to pick up the children first prior to watching the movie, but couldn’t find a number to speak to anyone having looked extensively. They make it extremely difficult to cancel. I sent an email in the end when I got home but unfortunately the time elapsed but I explained the situation, due to it not being my fault and exceptional circumstances. I would have thought they would be considerate and understanding of the situation and let us rearrange for another date, I wasn’t even asking for a refund! So that’s just under £50 wasted, in this climate with a family etc that’s a lot of money to go to waste. I shall not be using...
