On entering my room, I sat down on the single bed and the mattress literally sank in to a hole in the middle, I lifted the covers and the mattress was all stained and collapsed in the middle. I looked around the room and it seemed it had not had a good clean for a long time as there was thick dust everywhere and the carpets looked like they needed a good hoover. There was marks up the walls next to the bed and cob webs above (quite close to headboard). The bathroom fan was working over time and I'm not surprised as it was covered in a years worth of dirt and this was right next to the toilet, so dust being blown on to you as you sat. The bathroom floor looked like it needed a good cleaning too. Not worth looking in the bathroom mirrors as you could see nothing, too dirty. The TV remote would ot work and on turning TV on by manually, there was only 1 station you could get. Water was left in the kettle, so, do not know how long that had been there. My mattress was changed after I complained but it was not much better, still sunk in the middle. The room was given a lick with a duster but the cleaner must not like cobwebs, as these were left. The bathroom was not touched. The staff also left my flat door unlocked even though my belongings were in there. No one came to see me after all this happened to see if all was ok and I went looking for a member of staff in the early hours of the morning to complain about the 2nd mattress but no one was to be found. I had to find another hotel to go to as I could not sleep on that mattress. I have stayed at this accommodation before which is why I went there and previous experiences were good but certainly not this time. I suggest the accommodation has a re decoration to update there property and a good clean.
