I had a real great time there !! I got there from Torquay to Paignton ,then a ferry from Kingswear. The pub restaurant right by the ferry dock had an ice cream stand & I had a clotted cream flavour which was sogood ,one of the very best ice I've ever had in my life !! Also ,I had bakewell tarts at a bakery from Salcombe there !! They were so delicious !! I highly recommend !!! There were many gulls& a baby gull was crying constantly. That made me worried ! I hope that baby seagul was fine & thriving, surviving ! Hoping nothing was seriously wrong !! People were having a good time at the harbor & many bars ,bakeries , restaurants & cafes around in walking distances ! I highly recommend the bakery ,forgot the name now ,but I am gonna find the receipt !! It was right by the harbor .And that clotted cream ice cream !! The best tasting !!! Definitely one of the very best I've ever had !! I also highly recommend everyone to go to visit Dartmouth Devon ,or Salcombe ( originally my pick ,but it was much further out ...of my way !! I'll visit there...

If you get the chance and the weather is beautiful catch the early round robin where you have the chance to take a leisurely cruise, jump onto the open top bus and finish with a steam locomotive ride back to Kingswear Lower Ferry. It's an all day trip. Visit during the regatta and you'll be treated to a weekend crammed full of events with a firework finale that should not be missed. If you have children it's a must to try crabbing and get up close to nature, as they will have hours of fun, with the thrill of releasing them all back into the waters to fight for...
