Extremely disappointed with the condition of the accommodation, especially considering the rate of £150 per night. The issues we experienced include: No toilet roll provided upon arrival No mattress protector on the bed — only a sheet directly on the mattress, which is unacceptable and unhygienic A burnt curtain in the room Used mugs left in the room, still containing old tea, along with dirty spoons A heavily stained table, clearly not cleaned between guests Filthy carpets in the hallway and stairwell, with old onions and salad left on the stairs for the entire duration of our stay Despite placing the provided "room service" sign on the door, the room was not cleaned or attended to, and the dirty cups remained untouched The overall cleanliness and condition of the property were well below acceptable standards. I do not believe this accommodation was in any way worth...

Huge potential lovely atmosphere and quite cosy the staff were great the sevice was very good considering how busy the place was and it been regatta weekend. Unfortunately the food on this occasion was very sub standard and inedible. I ate mine I'd been at work all day and frankly would have eaten a dead badger, the dead badger would have been a better option I had a lovely burger and the chips had obviously been in the fryer 3 times and had become a hollow shell to keep them hot for food service .The wife had bacon and leek pie which was delicious but the pastry topping was like eating a house brick my friend had steak with dauphinoise potatoes which looked like the potatoes should have been planted ready for next year's harvest with a colour shade between...

Lovely place, staff friendly and (mostly) helpful. Clean room, little loud as although says rooms on 2nd floor, there is a dining area on the first. However, this wasn't too bad.

Only negative occured pre-booking. Spoke with staff on phone re parking and was advised there was plenty of places to park as many restrictions are May-Sept only. Turns out this was untrue as essentially only one area with unrestricted parking and everywhere else just 1 to 2 hours. We wasted nearly an hour of our break messing around looking for parking. Had the staff member not lied to us then we wouldn't have come and wasted valuable time. Although every other aspect of venue was great this would leave us wary to visit this venue or others in the...

just visited for dinner and drink, fantastic all round. Really cool old proper english pub! Guinness was spot on which is hard to find these days. Had Maules Frites and it was bloody amazing. Sauce was perfect, nice and creamy with a good dose of garlic, frites were crispy hot and delicious. Serviced with proper wedges of decent bread. I travel to france often and honestly can’t remember having a sauce that compares with the one here! I bow to the chef! Service also super friendly, if you’re looking for a winter warmer in the west country get down here! Thank you very much to you and your staff. Will definitely be returning when i’m next down for work.

We spent three days in Dartmouth (and evenings!) trying most of the pubs. Our favourite was the Seven Stars. The Star burger is delicious! We don't usually go for burgers but this one was well worth having. For drinks, we loved the Fraid Knot ale. Always served perfectly and with care. Thank you particularly Will and Dillon who were excellent hosts and, even though it was busy, found time to chat and make us feel so welcome. On our first visit Will invited my wife to try the cocktail of the day, which he enjoyed creating and it was fantastic. Wish we had a pub and barstaff like this where we live.
