I don't know where I stand with Everyman, I love the vibe and comfort however, there are a few things that really put me off. I am a member, and have been here 5 times, so hopefully my review will mean at least something.
the price... OK this is obvious, it is significantly more expensive compared to the Odeon, but you are getting superior comfort and atmosphere.
it is loud, very loud. Almost uncomfortable. Openheimer was painful to watch and we nearly walked out...I'm partially deaf as well. Every film has been somewhat ruined by the volume. If you have sensitivity to noise, do not visit.
the popcorn is pretty crap, it's stale and cold, I reluctantly buy it everytime but it's not great.
they only sell coke in tiny glass bottles and you can only order at the start of the film, by the time the adverts finish, you've drank it all. Large popcorn and buckets of drink are not on the menu here. Instead, you spend a lot of money on drinks, and have to leave the film everytime for a top up or go thirsty. This is perhaps my biggest issue. Please have drinks on tap. Making a 300ml coke last for an entire 2 hour film is not fun.
if you have a problem with mouth/eating noises, this might not be the place for you. It's bad when someone is eating a packet of haribo but immagine your neighbour scoffing down a burger!
not every chair has a table, you will be fighting over a space to place your expensive tiny bottle of coke. It's even worse if you are eating a meal.
for some reason, their model involves a member of staff standing at the front of the screen to introduce the film, it's quite awkward and weird, really not necessary.
what is with the crazy amount of seating areas in the lobby, it's laid out like a club. I've never seen anyone have a drink here, so it's always empty and bit of a weird vibe.
the screens are small, however, the rooms are a lot smaller so I don't tend to mind, but some people might want a 500" viewing experience.
they allow people to book a sofa to themselves, it can be annoying when trying to book a film with my wife and you have people sitting on a sofa on their lonesome instead of an armchair. I'm really tempted to book the one next to them to be weird.
wanted to finish at 10 but needed to mention how long the adverts are, almost as long as this review! I love arriving early to watch trailers, but the adverts are insanely long.
I love the environment and cleanliness of the place, but I won't be renewing my membership as it dosn't allow for a traditional cinema experience. I want my large drink and a decent popcorn, if a cinema can't provide that, then what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited the Everyman Cinema in Salisbury for the first time, and the experience was shockingly different from a standard cinema visitāin the best possible way. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the stunning interior design, which felt far more stylish and inviting than your average cinema.
About 15 minutes before the film started, a staff member warmly greeted us, asked how we were, and confirmed we were there for Black Bag. They then personally escorted us to our screen and seats, adding a level of service Iād never encountered at a cinema before.
We had one of the sofas, which was incredibly comfortable and easily spacious enough for two. Shortly after settling in, we ordered drinks and a meal eachāI went for the standard burger, while my partner chose the mushroom pizza. Both were packed with flavor, well-prepared, and reasonably priced considering the quality and setting.
The film itself was an excellent experience, with a fantastic view of the screen and great audiovisual quality. Afterward, we headed to the stylish bar downstairs for another drink and shared a cookie dough dessert, which, like everything else, was delicious. The service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly, making the entire visit feel special.
Overall, Iād highly recommend Everyman Salisbury for anyone looking to elevate their cinema experience. Having now experienced this level of comfort and service, I doubt a regular cinema visit will ever feel quite the same! Iāll definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere to start with this place. LOVED IT ! Not to be confused with a standard trip to the cinema, this place delivers a proper old school night out at the movies. I loved the styling, starting out front, which takes you immediately back to the āgolden ageā of cinema, whatever that might mean for you.
The inside is beautiful with seating and decor that would be a great place to stay regardless of a film night. The bars are equally stylish and you are guaranteed a friendly welcome .. from a human that wants to be there, not a touch screen or overworked teenager.
The screens ( there are 4 total ) all have their own theme with comfortable sofas and chairs and cushions (!) so you can get comfortable.
Food selection is great and prices pitched at decent pub food NOT rip off fast food. In addition, itās waiting service to your seat so you order what you want and itās delivered to you !
We attended a throwback film evening at watch the original Jurassic Park which all these years later was still amazingly good on big screen with surround sound!
Best cinema Iāve ever been to. Best night out in a long time. Thoroughly recommended for a proper...
