Gale's Farm Meats — Local services in Great Britain

I have been using this place quite a few times whilst I lived in Filton and also since moving - great friendly staff and a family business in under the flats called Church View and near a bakery, opticians, post office and bank!

Great value and also like the fact that they do pies for one (all sorts of varieties)cottage pies/ porkpies and all made on the premises and useful to keep in the freezer for emergencies - keep asking for the scotch eggs

They do hot lunches as well which vary on a daily basis and look delicious and great if you are at one of the big employers and do not want to use the canteen

Bought a pork shoulder and beef and a stilton pie today. I've only had the pie and I must say it was unbelievably good quality-the meat was tender with absolutely no sign of gristle or fat! The flavours were well balanced and the filling wasn't salty unlike other sub-standard pies you will get anywhere else like pukka pies, supermarket brands or Greggs and the like. Stu and "me Jullie" are stars, always friendly, always time for a chinwag.

Their produce is superb quality (better than tbe supermarkets) but their prices match supermarkets, Mr Gales bacon is delicious, the black pudding equally delicious.

Oh....and you must try the pies, we've just had steak and Redcurrant (if I remember correctly), really nice flavours, good sized pieces of tender steak and plenty of tasty gravy, with no horrible...
