Writing an update on our visit 2 years later here. After our past experiences I wouldn't go anywhere else for a Sunday roast in Dorset. Everything was up to standard, food quality, effientcy and lovely customer service. Really down to earth and happy to accommodate all of our family. Looking forward to next visit 😊

Saw all the great reviews of this restaurant for Sunday lunch and wow were weren't disappointed.! I pre booked and glad we did. Everyone was really friendly. I'm a fussy roast beef eater and prefer the beef well done not rare and the lovely waitress said all the beef was well done. It came out so tender.! They catered well for children. Made a child's roast dinner for my son and my youngest son enjoyed his chicken nuggets and chips.!

The puddings were at a top standard too! Amazing sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and two scoops of ice cream. Other compliments are available too.

We go to the seagulls every time we come to west bay. We so glad to see that there were open and made though locked down, and as always the food and the service were outstanding. The chief is absolutely amazing you can taste how fresh the local produce is , know one flavour over powers the rest everything is well balanced food from starter to pubbing. Just as good as any high end restaurant and definitely just as good as Rick stein restaurant. The staff are just as good friendly they know the menu your not rushed in anyway. And to top it off you can have a 3 coarse meal with 2 bottles of good wine for less that £100. We will continue to go back time after time. Its a must go to restaurant when in west bay. Smaller restaurant with a fairly diverse menu, but every single item on each of our plates was perfect. The steak was gorgeous, the chicken was very tasty, the stew was delicious, but the thing that really set Seagulls apart from other good restaurants was that the focus want solely on the main dish - the potatoes were excellent and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Everything on the plate was obviously prepared with care and attention to detail, which is very rare, especially at the very reasonable prices. Service was faultless and the venue is great, but for me a restaurant is all about what's on the plate and nobody at our table could suggest any improvements (no matter how small). Highly...
