Newquay Ten Pin Bowling — Local services in Great Britain

Absolutely shocking. I never ever complain. Thought I would take louis bowling quickly, nice and close from our house seems though the weather is awful. Booked the lane for 1o'clock and wanted food before so was told to arrive at 12.30 baring in mind that gives us 30 mins to order and eat and get ready to bowl. Walked in, quickly ordered food at the bar, halfway through ordering my food the guy behind the bar answered the phone and took a booking for bowling leaving me stood their for 5 minutes. We eventually ordered had a game of pool in darkness then our food came also in darkness 10 minutes before our lane was meant to be ready, I said to louis quickly scoff it so we are not late for our lane. Finished food just in time, then had to wait nearly an hour for our lane.. they did bring us 3 50ps as we was waiting 😂 nearly an hour later our lane was ready, after seeing the owner/manager fixing the lanes about 20times while we was waiting also put me off. Had our game and whilst the pins where put in place ready to bowl half of them would fall over. I do not recommend this place at all. Poor louis is quite disappointed, what was meant to be a nice bit of lunch and a quick bowl was far...

We turned up at the hotel and asked if we could play and the owners said yes but they would have to set up so we waited 15/20 minutes paid £30 and the guy set up our names on the overhead scoreboard, went to choose a ball couldn't get my fingers in any of the balls and he had no alternative anyways we started playing Lane 1 but the balls all appeared to go to left and once sent down toward skittles didn't come back, then the skittles wouldn't reseat themselves after being knocked over, the guy was down fixing it every other bowl he did suggest we put the lane gulley guards down but I'm reasonably good at bowling normally so turned them down, the scoring then added several strike scores to our totals, we weren't offered a refund and didn't ask for one, they also set another family up on the lane right next to us and the bowls they were using kept filling up the bowling storage area, many of the bowls were damaged so wouldn't travel straight anyways, it didn't detract from our enjoyment and the guy was helpful even though he spent most of his time at the skittle end repairing the automatic...

When you're charging £8 per adult and £6 for the kids you at least expect to be able to bowl. After each person (family of 4) took one turn each the lane packed itself in so we were quickly moved to the next lane - fine no issue it happens.

But when the next lane ALSO packs in you know its gunna be poor. We had to ask for assistance at least four times before being told to just play as it is. Pins wouldn't come down, some weren't being picked up.

We gave up asking for assistance as the staff were too busy watching the football match on the screen and on their mobiles! I get its quiet guys, but come on.

We just paid £35 for drinks and one game and it was so pathetic. Wish we hadn't bothered which is such a shame as we like to support...
