Great when they remember to remove security tags, in the last two weeks I've had a bottle of rum and a nightdress both with security tags still on when I got home, now that nightdress is useless and I Carnt wear it so that's a waste of money and a £17 bottle of rum still has the security tag left on it, now I'm disabled and I can manage to leave my bungalow once a month, so we usually get our shopping delived but once a month we get a lift into tesco after picking up my morphine from the doctors, so I'm unable to return the nightdress and tesco do nothing to help us, even getting in touch with the support team via Facebook hasn't helped, they haven't even bothered to reply, plus ordering online it can say something is out of stock and the one day I went into the store we get our delivery from the item was there half a hour later! Then there is the £2 charge for checking the bank account, that can come back into your account upto a month later, so if I do a order a week or more that's at least £8/10 that I Carnt spend, being disabled and on benefits makes this very hard indeed, that's why I'm not giving tesco a glowing review, if they bothered to go out of there way to help customers especially those of us that are disabled and unable to constantly return to the store to rectify THERE mistakes then I would give...
Read moreThis is a thank you to a tesco employee, I believe her name is Jenny. March of 2022 my husband and I visited Thirsk to see the James Herriot museum. ( we are from the US). After walking from the train station were wandering around trying to find our way to our hotel, Jenny happened up to us and helped give us directions .Her kindness didn’t stop there. After seeing the museum, we arrived back at our hotel to a huge bag of gifts from Jenny. Biscuits, books, socks, gifts for the kitchen, etc. I am wearing the socks she gave me as I write this. I wasn’t able to find her to tell her thanks but I will try to do so here. That single act of kindness inspires me to pass it on, and to be a better person . I hope she knows that she has touched someone’s heart thousands of miles away. Thank you Jenny, and...
Read moreIn my humble opinion this store is on the way down. Although the premises had had a recent revamp it all seems a bit "tired". The introduction of canned music over the PA system and the closure of the deli section heralded a slipping. This may be due to incursions of the discount stores which are nearby. Many regular items I shop for are randomly out of stock or even more maddening, moved aisle. The staff are all great and very positive to the customers as are the home delivery drivers which leads me to think the problems stem from further up the management chain. As previously stated, these are my opinions which are based on personal observations and experiences rather...
