This is an exceptional Thai restaurant that happens to be in Thirsk. But we have to say, the quality of the food and the level of service is special. We found this restaurant last year, and when we came back to the UK this year we had to go back. We were not disappointed. The chefs care about what they are sending out, both for quality and presentation and everything tastes like it was prepared fresh. The Chu Chee Tiger Prawns were amazing. But then again, everything was delicious and expertly prepared/presented. The Paneng chicken was rich and flavourful and the Pad Med Ma Muang had just the right amount of heat and sweet! Megan our server provided the right amount of attention and care, covering all our needs. The service was fast and attentive and she really made us feel welcome. It's evident that the chefs, staff and owners care about what they serve and how they serve it, and the result is a great dining experience that can be found on a little side alley in Thirsk. If you are thinking about trying this place, we recommend you do. We have been back several times over several years and every time its been great. From a family of well traveled foodies...
Read moreI don't tend to like Thai food very much so when my husband booked us in I had my doubts. However first impressions were excellent. The staff were friendly and professional and I had no worries about their Covid-19 measures which were very well managed. Service was smooth and prompt but not too fast so we never felt rushed.
The food was super. There was plenty on the menu and everything was clearly marked with chilies so that we knew what was spicy and what not. The crispy prawns in the plum sauce were awesome. The batter was so light and airy the dish wasn't too heavy or greasy. My husband chose Thai sausage which packed full of flavour and slightly spicy. Mains were equally as tasty, well presented and well cooked.
I had the chocolate spring rolls for desert and they were superb. Portion sizes weren't excessive so we didn't leave feeling bloated or having to leave a ton on our plates. Reasonably priced menu as well with a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Thoroughly recommended and we will definitely go...
Read moreOn reading the reviews we really looked forward to our meal and planned to rebook to bring visitors in March, if it was good. We were disappointed. The waitress greeted us with a warm smile, which was lovely. The restaurant was VERY cold - I had to keep my jacket on and use my scarf as a blanket! The menu is not extensive but plenty to choose from. We ordered soup to start (to warm us up!) - they were both good with lots of fresh ingredients. Some crackers with it would have been nice without having to order? (I didn't see them on the menu?) The mains were fresh and tasty but not outstanding as we had hoped. I ordered veg, no tofu but it came with tofu - they quickly sorted this so this was not an issue. It was an OK meal overall, the service was good- spoilt by the...
