Been going to Glossop Cafeteria for years now. But during the pandemic was over charged by 90 pence for two chicken sandwiches. When I asked Saeed the owner about it. He said that it was for the sauce we had on our sandwiches. We'd been overcharged several times before on different occasions. Sometimes, we got our money back. Then, the last time, I was overcharged by 50 pence for a scrambled egg sandwich. When I asked Saeed about the over charges he said it was for two eggs even though I hadn't asked for two eggs and the amount of scrambled eggs on my sandwich was the same amount as I normally had. So we stopped eating in there and just had drinks instead as we enjoyed their milky coffee. On Wednesday, 30th November 2022, we ordered our drinks and was then asked to sit down next to the fridge as the other two tables were booked for 11am. We received our drinks at 11.15am as they were really busy. We received our drinks in takeaway cups, which was unusual unless we asked for them to take away. At 11.17am, we were asked to leave as they needed the table for people who were having food. We were asked to leave even though one of the tables that had been booked for 11 am was still empty. We had gone into Glossop Cafeteria for a drink and a sit down as it was damp and cold outside and asked to leave even though we were paying customers. We have been a regular customer going in several times a week with friends and family for several years now. Saeed has now lost my custom and several other people's customs for the sake of a biker, which goes into the cafe once or...

Everyone seems to rate this Cafe really highly, not sure if that’s that’s due to the debatable customer service or the fact it’s a bikers hub.
The service has always been sub par in my experience. The sausages that are served have only ever seen a sniff of Pork at best.
The breakfast have shockingly bad “pork” sausages (2% at best) are probably the worst in Glossop for a cafe. I think Greggs offer better quality sausages tbf.
Despite their low quality “pork” sausages. They welcome everyone with open arms. But the hot food is then served in cold dishes and onto cold plates. (Hot beans poured into a cold dish etc).
Toast was perfectly cooked colour wise, but rock hard & freezing cold on our last visit. So had clearly been prepared way too early before the rest of the breakfast.
This place is a hub spot for bikers at the weekend so it gets a 12 out of 10 for supporting the bike community. But the breakfast in all honesty is sub par.
It’s the atmosphere that makes...
Read moreWe turned up at half 10 for a late breakfast, 3 adults 1 disabled, 2 infants and a baby. We joined the cue in between different groups of bikers. When we ordered we were told there was a 30minutes wait by a very stressed owner who was rushing us to order, we said no worries no big rush. I was impressed when the bikers in front of us in the que got their food within 20mins and we expected to be next, but they skipped us and every other biker was served. After waiting an hour and 10 minutes they served food to bikers who had arrived 20minutes after we had ordered.
I politely tried to tell the owner that they were serving people out of order and he had a melt down told me to leave and as he gave us a refund barred us. Honestly he was seriously disorganised and had to go out mid service for tins of beans, come on... Beans don't go off they should be in stock..
They wouldn't refund the 2 teas which took 45...
