Honest review about the owners of the two hares / hyssop. They are bullies, on numerous occasions they have physically abused and threatened physical violence on their staff, some being Minors - 16 year olds. They’re verbally abusive, constantly shouting at staff, telling them they’re ‘thick’ ‘stupid’ constantly saying things like ‘why the ** have we hired them’ ‘if it was up to me I’d fire them all’ They’ve taken over £200 worth of tips off the staff which have been hard earned by them. There is no appreciation for the things the staff do for the owners. I noticed multiple times every single weekend there was a young lad and young woman behind the bar every Friday and Saturday night they were the ones who had to close up, the owners left every time around 5ish. - now with hyssop being there I’m not sure it’s much different but maybe they stay a bit later. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH how nasty these people are. I will not name them as it is slander. But please be aware that you are supporting abusive people, who are underpaying their staff and verbally abusing them. It’s no surprise that in the space of 3 weeks 3 going on 4 of their staff have either quit or handed in their notice. One more point is that I was eating one day and heard the chef in the kitchen - who is also one of the owners threaten to STAB a worker from Norfolk Pizza. This business needs to be...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our new favourite in Glossop! The Two Hares is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, every single member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome — friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. The chef’s expertise shines through in every bite; it’s obvious this is someone who truly knows and loves their craft.

The setting is spot-on, relaxed, inviting, and with a vibe that makes you want to linger over good food and conversation. Speaking of food… wow. My Cubano sandwich was perfection, every element balanced and full of flavour. My wife had poached egg, halloumi, and mushrooms on toast, and declared it her new favourite place to eat on the spot. Both dishes were faultless.

And then there was the “Frickle” — if I’d known about that when I was pregnant, I think I’d have been in three times a day!

We left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Thank you, Two Hares, for the most wonderful hospitality. We can’t...

I have been to the Two Hares previously for their Sunday Roast and it was delicious. This time I took my Nana and we tried their breakfast. Despite my high expectations It didn’t disappoint... I got the Brioche french toast and it was by far the best I have ever tasted. It was a generous portion, served nice and hot, ample maple syrup was provided and it had the texture of clouds. Super fluffy and super yummy. Nana had the smashed avo and toast with added bacon and equally enjoyed that. The Yorkshire tea also sealed the deal. I continue to recommend the Two Hares to anyone and everyone in Glossop :)

Was very excited when Two Hares opened and of course was not disappointed! Perfect selection for a quick but well made lunch, and other high quality fresh ingredients available to buy too. Great choice of delicious sandwich fillings and the bowls are a delight - £3.50 for a small but well filled with different pasta, coleslaw and fresh salad. Sausage rolls are what dreams are made of and still warm!! Overall great value for money and a super friendly little place

Came in this afternoon for brunch/lunch with my father. For brunch, I had the Italian Job Special which consisted of a sourdough toastie with cured meat and telaggio cheese and pine nuts — at the recommendation of one of the waitresses! Dad had a beef toasted sandwich which looked delicious. The whole vibe of the deli / café / restaurant is so lovely. The service was fast and the staff were very welcoming. Will definitely be coming back.
