Read moreHonest review about the owners of the two hares / hyssop. They are bullies, on numerous occasions they have physically abused and threatened physical violence on their staff, some being Minors - 16 year olds. They’re verbally abusive, constantly shouting at staff, telling them they’re ‘thick’ ‘stupid’ constantly saying things like ‘why the ** have we hired them’ ‘if it was up to me I’d fire them all’ They’ve taken over £200 worth of tips off the staff which have been hard earned by them. There is no appreciation for the things the staff do for the owners. I noticed multiple times every single weekend there was a young lad and young woman behind the bar every Friday and Saturday night they were the ones who had to close up, the owners left every time around 5ish. - now with hyssop being there I’m not sure it’s much different but maybe they stay a bit later. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH how nasty these people are. I will not name them as it is slander. Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our new favourite in Glossop! The Two Hares is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, every single member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome — friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. The chef’s expertise shines through in every bite; it’s obvious this is someone who truly knows and loves their craft.
The setting is spot-on, relaxed, inviting, and with a vibe that makes you want to linger over good food and conversation. Speaking of food… wow. My Cubano sandwich was perfection, every element balanced and full of flavour. My wife had poached egg, halloumi, and mushrooms on toast, and declared it her new favourite place to eat on the spot. Both dishes were faultless.
And then there was the “Frickle” — if I’d known about that when I was pregnant, I think I’d have been in three times a day!
We left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Thank you, Two Hares, for the most wonderful hospitality. We can’t...
