Scrapyard is the future of inclusivity. Not only is it a fantastic concept to combat scrap waste but it's fresh, new and insanely fun to play.
Additionally, my partner is a wheelchair user which makes going to new places sometimes very difficult as beforehand we have to resort to scouring the instagram of the place we want to go, staring at street view and calling the place with a list of questions about a lift/ramp/bathroom/parking etc. Sometimes we are promised that everything is okay, only to arrive and discover it's the furthest from accessible (I won't name the indoor belfast mini golf place).
However, you only have to look at Scrapyard's website to find answers to every single question about special needs and mobility. On top of that, the owner reached out to me after my feedback to ask what else he could do and to brainstorm. It genuinely astounded me seeing disabled people so included and almost brought me to tears, it only goes to show how much care the owners put into welcoming everyone which makes a world of difference, especially when this place has been open for less than a year!!
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts, you made us feel seen, your staff were fantastic and we will definitely be back with...
Read moreOne of the best mini golf spots I’ve been to! Definitely couldn’t recommend it enough, especially since I’ve been to the other ones and they’re . . . 👀. The staff were welcoming and good banter, the place is vibrant and colourful with a huge slide to go down in one of the courses! The music and energy felt good to be in as we played. It was honestly a wonderful spot to be at. Unfortunately, it was quite a bit of a drive from where I live to go a little more often.
Customer service was phenomenal before I even got there - I had to cancel in less than 24 hours and in doing so you’ll not get a refund or be able to change the date. However, the staff understood my reasoning and as a nice gesture, rescheduled my booking to a later date so I could attend. Thank you so much for that! 😊
I suppose my only con is that two or maybe three of the courses was a tad bit too dark where since I had a light blue ball that didn’t glow in the dark (like the orange) I wasn’t able to see it as well. It’s not something a few more strobes or dim lights won’t fix, but that’s my criticism, if I was to nitpick. It’s also my reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
Again, fantastic and I hope to return...
Read moreThe best mini golf in Belfast, hands down. You can see that it's a true labour of love for the owners. The reception staff were very friendly & helpful throughout our visit. The sheer variety of holes and things to do & see is astonishing. The hole that spans from the top level to the bottom level, with players sending their putter down a chute & sliding down to the bottom themselves, is genius. Unlike other mini golf in Belfast, the holes are actually interesting and challenging without being unfair. I could go on about it all day... the crab traps, the UV light, the reliant vans, the plane hanging from the ceiling, the abandoned dodgems. Scrapyard golf is a treat for the senses, and I'll be telling everyone how great it is. Finally, the price - my children FLY through mini-golf and it makes the whole experience feel expensive. But the prices here are so reasonable, and my kids savoured every moment for the full hour, this felt like great...
