This is possibly one if not the best fish and chips I’ve ever had!!! I am very fussy and particular about fish & chips, I am happy to write that they have fish without skin on which seems to be impossible to find in the south of England. The staff were very sweet, helpful with advice on portion size. Great customer service even though they were busy (just being good at communication how long it would take for food to be ready). The batter was very crispy and the cod was perfectly flakey and I felt like I could taste the sea. The chips perfect. Also got a portion of potted crab which was perfect combination of white and brown meat. I hope the length of this review shows how highly i thought of this fish and chips!!!

Well simply blown away by the quality of Cod and chips we got served today at this cook to order family chip shop. We had 2 medium cod and chips and kids cod and chips. If this was their idea of medium I hate to see the large... my word the size was huge. Kids one would have been better. Without argument the best cooked cod and chips I have had the pleasure to taste in a long time. Not dripping in grease like most chippies. Cooked to perfection. Sure it's a little pricey by others standards, but you pay for what you get.... restaurant quality cod & chips. The only down side was the 40min wait. Had we known we could call ahead we would have. #keepitupguys #beautiful #IOWtakeover

Poppoed here for lunch. Great to get free parking for 1 hour nearby. I bet that helps the local businesses. We ordered battered sausage, chicken burger, I large chips, 6 mozzarella sticks and ketchup. It came to £20.75. The service was very polite and the wait for food was no more than 10 minutes. Its obviously cooked fresh to order. There was lots of people sitting in the restaurant and a constant stream of customers getting takeaway. The place looked clean and tidy. There was a large selection of cold drinks and salt and vinegar everywhere to add to your food.

We went two years ago and everything was perfect. Food, service, everything. This time around the service was rather poor, food was ok but not wow(like last time). We travelled quite far to vet to this place and it was a bit disappointing. We had the crab legs with the garlic sauce which was on the day special and it was ok. Very little meat on those legs, but that is not the restaurant's fault. When I asked about something on the menu, the waiter had no idea what I was on about. We than had the grilled mackrell which had lots of salad, which was fresh but the leaves could have been ripped a bit especially that this was all served on a wood board so it got messy. The mackrell was overcooked. We wanted some drinks, but they didn't have them in stock so we got something else. At the end, when we had to pay, we did want to leave a tip, but no option for that. Overall, I would go again if I was i the area, but probably I would order...

Went in to order 2 x battered sausages! Seen it was quite busy but more than prepared to wait… ordered inbetween 19:32-19:35.

When I walked in there was already bags on top of the hot plate.

The cashier and chefs then had a debate saying they’d done that food in which they hadn’t because no more bags were added to the hot plate in my time there.

I was then handed food with the time on it of 19:20… the food had been sat on the hot plate for 10 minutes before I even got there, I received it at about 19:40.

I hate complaining especially in hospitality environments, however to receive food that had been sat on the hot plate for 20 mins wasn’t really fair,

The cashier very kindly offered to leave it on the hot plate while we waited for my friends food however, it was already fairly cold when I received it the...

Long wait, staff on average were ok, one member was rude however. Wait was said to be 15 minutes and was a little longer. When you get a takeaway, you are forced to wait outside, no matter what the weather is like; Not enough space inside anyway. Entire meal tasted reheated, utterly disgusting, but I love fish and chips, it is my favourite meal. Not enough staff either. I genuinely felt sick after less than half of my Cod and Chips. Some chips were mushy, others were burnt, all where extremely starchy. Everything was burnt or something else was wrong. This is definitely not a good takeaway, if I got this inside the Restaurant I would send it back. Would not recommend until business plan has been...
