The Games Store — Local services in Lincoln

I've been to the store on the odd occasion (maybe 6 times) and not once have I felt welcome. First I went in as I had never seen the store before, wasn't acknowledged and when I left after browsing all I got was a grunt. I appreciate I didn't buy anything but not everyone that comes in buys stuff.

Second time I went in to buy a particular set of cards and was greeted, bought my cards, overheard some absolutely awful language from some of the patrons and then left.

Third time I went in to buy some graphic novels, asked about comic subscriptions, gave a list of things I was after and was told I'd get a call - nothing.

Then every time I've been in since the atmosphere is very clique-esque, the gamers are very loud (not a problem) but quite often very sweary (is a problem) and I also don't respond well to sarcastic comments like "We can't stock everything" - yes I appreciate that but if I politely ask if you have something I expect a polite response.

Poor customer service. Not child friendly (swearing). Not very welcoming. There are better...

Appalling experience. A tourist here, I went in to browse their game selection during one of their late open evenings. Entering the shop, the owners were obviously too engrossed even to say hello. I felt immediately unwelcome, and we were rudely ignored. The whole thing had a 'clubby' feel to it that made me, a casual browser, feel really out of the loop and like an annoyance. This is a shame, as I was actually looking to purchase a game, and was willing to spend money. I'm glad that my local games shops in Edinburgh have a customer-positive attitude, and I'm happy to save my money for...

The owner is the most rude obnoxious man. I was told by a member of staff that I could vape on the roof patio and instead of telling me otherwise he shouted and name called in front of the entire staff. I tried to explain that I had problem with going outside, I was just told otherwise originally. He acted like a spoilt child who has all the toys and won't let you play unless you take all his rubbish. Will not be taking my money in there again.
