Just spent my limited ½hr lunch break in a queue which extended past the end of the aisle. 2 people dealing with clothes returned, three (then down to two) serving. A member of staff then pushed down the queue to "hang up" some items that had been moved (obviously very important!). I asked if they could get any more staff on the tills and she snapped "we are short staffed, doing a stock take and returns are essential so we can get them back out to sell"! May I suggest Primark train their staff in good customer service as a comment such as "I will see if we can get more staff on the tills" wouldn't have resulted in me feeling totally hacked off with her attitude and compelled to write a review?! An observation on leaving the store: there were 8 visible members of staff folding and tidying, seemingly in pairs so they could continue their chit chat? Serve customers when you are busy, sort and tidy when it's quiet. Also, not sure how you do a stock take when the stock is constantly moving around the store?! Maybe my logic isn't quite right? Perhaps some sort of floor manager should take...
Read moreI personally love Primark because for all you kiwis and aussies out there, this is like our Kmart! They sell an abundant of clothes, accessories, makeup, belts, bags and shoes at reasonable prices. If you love Harry Potter, my god do they have a shitload of Harry Potter stuff. They sell homewares (a small amount of bedding, towels, kitchen wear and cushions here), sleepwear, bras (and YES! Sizes for the big chested woman out there... yay!) they even have some pretty decent jeans that I’ve purchased. Obviously you pay for what you get, so the quality won’t be amazing, BUT the quality for price is outstanding. I come here every day after work, because I could never look through everything in one day. The store is good, it does get stuffy (warm) and does get a little messy here and there, but that is because they have a whole lot of stock on the floors and only a small amount of people on the actual floor. They do great for what they have. You should never go when your rushed for time as you do tend to wait a little while...
Read moreHow I wish this company had an online shop. What a disgusting experience. I had to nip in to stock up on something only Primark sell and, being a few days post-"freedom day", this was exactly the kind of place the disgusting people who ought to be wearing a mask were congregating. Not only was mask-wearing a seemingly unpopular choice for the great unwashed, but the concept of personal space (forget social distancing) was clearly lost on them. The woman behind me in the queue was so close that something about her person kept pressing into my back. Needless to say, she also wasn't wearing a mask. This will sound like an exaggeration but there was even an unmasked woman coughing at the front of the checkout queue. We attempted conversation with the checkout assistant. What a mistake. She was as thick as two short planks. Hopefully it'll be a long time before I have to return to this foul...
