Booked through The Fork app with a 50% discount off all food. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, we had the cured meat sharing platter, franco special pizza, wild mushroom, truffle & burrato pizza, tiramisu and a pecan cheesecake. Pizza dough is fabulous at Francos, both pizzas had good fillings too. Little disappointed with the desserts thats why we've given 4 stars rather than 5 as thought they would have come with a scoop of ice-cream or whipped cream as seemed a little dry without. Have to admit I have had tastier tiramisu elsewhere, it was nice but I wasn't wowed by it. A little Italian almond biscuit would have been a nice touch with the coffees (the latte and cappuccino were gorgeous). Credit to the staff, who were all very welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere in the Lincoln site was lovely, everyone enjoying themselves. We got the added bonus of sitting at a window table, so got to people watch too!! Lincoln is a great city to visit. Would really recommend getting The Fork app as when these deals are on its worth the effort to travel and you collect Yum points at participating venues which you can use off your bill. Well done Franco Manca, we had a lovely evening at your Lincoln restaurant.

The food here was lovely and fresh. I absolutely loved the blue cheese dip. It's great that you can customise pizzas, but it could get a little bit expensive if you choose to do this as extra toppings are pricey. There's a fab selection for vegetarians, and you can remove toppings from the meat pizzas for even more choice. The service was a little slow at first (it took a while for the waiter to take our order despite the restaurant being empty), but once we placed our order, the food came very quick. The server was lovely and made some recommendations since they didn't have the homemade lemonade. Despite the fact that I enjoyed the food and atmosphere, I probably won't return. This is because the company adds a service charge to the bill, even for a table of two. The charge is optional, but it's a very uncomfortable experience requesting to have it removed. I often don't mind leaving a tip or rounding up a bill, but I do not like it being added as standard.

The sourdough pizza was good, the toppings are a little much. I had the yellowfin tuna which is supposedly a favorite of the pizzeria, would like to meet those people honestly. My wife had the new traditional hallumi pizza and it was good but still had too many toppings. I say too many toppings because it bogged down the pizza with conflicting flavors. We also had the Burrata starter and we are glad we did, it tasted pretty good. My first issue was our starter came out 45 minutes after we ordered and we had to get our pizza as takeaway since our meter expired because the pizza came out 65 minutes after we ordered. In context I ordered takeaway from a different sourdough pizza place earlier this week and it was done in 10 minutes. The other issue I have with this place is the optional service charge which needs manager approval to be removed, very sneaky. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the staff are helpful.

We didn't have a very good experience here last night. Wait times, service and food were all an issue...

Firstly, the wait. When we arrived we were told it'd be about a 40 minute wait for food, which we didn't mind because we always have really enjoyed the food at these restaurants in Leeds and London. The annoying thing about the eventual 50 minute wait was the stream of takeaway pizzas going out of the door - when we looked on Deliveroo you could have one delivered to home in 15-25 minutes!

Our starter and my pizza were good, but my girlfriend's pizza was burned on the bottom and tasted bitter. No-one came to ask how we were getting on, I couldn't get anyone's attention and when we eventually told the manager, he just argued that that's how they come and that 1 or 2 SECONDS extra cooking could make it like that!

Finally, the main issue was the service. We waited for a very long time to order anything and then when our starters came I immediately asked for side plates so we could share it, and also realised I didn't have cutlery to eat it with (only my girlfriend did). We could see our waitress standing at the pass talking to the chefs, so I turned around in my seat to get the attention of another one. The second waitress saw me sitting backwards, we made eye contact, she smiled at me - then took the orders for the two tables immediately behind me and walked off without coming to my table. After a further 5/6 minutes of nothing materialising and the food just sitting there uneaten, I went up and asked for cutlery myself. When our starters were cleared and I asked for more water, the waitress rolled her eyes at me, grabbed the bottle and slammed a new one down 2 minutes later without a word. After the meal when I asked to have a chat with the manager he was simply argumentative and used the excuse of the restaurant being newly opened (even though it's been open 6 weeks) and fixated on our apparent lack of understanding (in his mind) on how pizza is cooked.

We drove specially down to Lincoln from 60 miles away to try this restaurant as it's one of our favourite places to eat in one of our favourite cities, so it's a real shame we had this experience as we probably...

We were a party of 5 and ordered 4 starters, somehow our waiter got every single one wrong. I ordered the meat platter with sour dough and cheese, they brought me a beef platter with nothing extra. My mum order cheesy garlic bread and got rosemary bread instead, and my grandma ordered a plain salad and got a weird cheesy meat salad? They brought the right ones out 10 minutes later after we sent them all back and they sucked. Just not good tasting. For my meat platter, im pretty sure they brought me back an identical thing and just threw a slice of bread and a few crumbly pieces of cheese on top. Not good at all.

We tried to give them our paper menus when we were done ordering but the guy just said “You can keep them” ???? Why would you think we want to keep them if we’re literally handing them to you? We had to pile them up and put them in the corner of the table.

I ordered a negroni and the waiter asked me what i wanted 5 times. I had to point it out on the menu. It tasted awful and i couldnt finish it. My grandad ordered a beer and it came 10 minutes after everyone else’s drinks. My grandma and mum ordered a bottle of wine and they didn’t give us any wine glasses. We waited for a bit for them to bring them, but they didnt come, so we asked for wine glasses, they then said “We dont do wine glasses, but you can have some more cups”. ??????? Why serve 12 different bottles of wine and not wine glasses?

Nobody finished their starters, they sucked. The pizzas for main weren’t that good; they tasted bad, very soggy, overly salted, floppy, no pizza cutters.

Cost was £125

Everything just sucked, there were so many other little things about it that I didnt mention that made everything bad. Do...

*Didn't end up eating there in the end * Well what an experience! Went in today for lunch with my sister and 20 month old daughter. Walked in and nobody came to greet us so we found a table, we walked over and was told to "No hang on I need to clean that table" we waited until she finished, sat down and awaited menus. 5 minutes later ... no menu, we took them from the table next door as the people there had already eaten. Another 5-10 minutes passed nobody been over to take order, even no drinks. Two other parties have come in by this point. The waitress looked over at us then proceed to take the two other tables order before ours. We had been sat there for around 15 minutes by this point. The worst part she looked over at us multiple times but still chose to get there order first. Surely you take order in order of arrival. We gave it 5 more minutes and still nobody coming to take our order, everyone we tried to get the waitresses attention she turned away. By this point my young toddler was getting agitated as was we. We got up and left. On the way out the waitress only then acknowledged us and said I was coming to take your order next. I replied its OK we will find somewhere else. Only good thing was a different waitress got me a high chair for my little one and some colours... but she didn't even take our order. Sorry but wouldn't recommend this place. Sorry I can't comment on the food as we didn't...
