I recently visited KFC in Croydon and was genuinely impressed with the overall experience. From the moment I walked in, the place felt welcoming and well-kept, which isn’t always the case with fast food restaurants. The staff were friendly, attentive, and handled the queue quickly despite it being quite busy at the time.

The food itself was excellent. The chicken was cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with that classic KFC seasoning that never disappoints. My meal came out hot and fresh, not like it had been sitting under a warmer. The fries were golden and crunchy, and the portions were generous. I also appreciated that they got the order right the first time, including sauces and sides, which shows good attention to detail.

What stood out most was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The seating area was tidy, and staff were quick to clear and wipe down tables, which makes a big difference when you’re eating in. Even the toilets were in good condition, which is something a lot of places overlook.

Another positive point is how convenient the location is—it’s right in Croydon, easy to get to, and ideal whether you’re grabbing food on the go or sitting down with family and friends.

Today I purchased KFC’s promotional bucket deal of 20 wings for £7.99 — twice. That means I ordered 40 wings total. While the server was handing me my order, I checked and noticed the wings were being packed into tiny paper bags instead of the advertised buckets. I immediately requested that they put the wings in buckets, otherwise they would get messy and lose their coating.

The server said “okay,” but the staff member preparing the food at the back flat-out refused, loudly saying, “We don’t have buckets.” Moments later, he pulled out a bucket anyway but dumped all 40 wings into just one bucket, which looked ridiculous. His whole attitude was dismissive, like he was giving me charity instead of me being a paying customer.

When I got home and opened the bucket, the wings looked awful — smashed together, greasy, and completely unappetizing. Honestly, this was one of the worst KFC experiences I’ve had.

I normally go to Colonnades KFC, and I expect much better than this. If KFC is going to advertise 20 wings in a bucket for £7.99, then you should deliver exactly that. Otherwise, don’t run the promotion at all. False advertising and poor service like this are unacceptable.

Service was great and good customer service. I just witnessed someone shouting at the staff and unreasonably being so rude and arrogant and embarrassing the female staff member and left her In shivering. It’s just unfair and I can totally understand how it may felt like in their side as an Ex-fast food chain employee. People gotta understand they are humans too and as a customer it’s pretty sure they are complying with the food and hygiene standards. I also witnessed the lady got her order and came back in few mins saying her drink wasn’t full and she demanded for replacement drink and large fries. Were I literally saw her enjoyed few sips of drink and tasted the fries and it’s totally unfair coming back and going crazy for replacement. And I’m pretty certain there isn’t any need to criticise the staff member’s race. And in the end this all turns up against them mentioning as rude and unprofessional staff and the lady even threatened them saying, she will write it in the review and make this place shut. But I wanted to write before she does and hopefully people understand this and wish everybody could treat dedicated staff members nicely. Order...
