Mezze Grill — Restaurant in London

The food and service was excellent. My Husband and I are big fans of Turkish cuisine so we're always willing to try any turkish restuarants we find. We came across this lovely restuarant and were thoroughly surprised at the quality of food and service. I Ordered the Mix Shish with bulgar rice. The chicken cutlets were flavoured to perfection- they were soft and succulent and packed just the right amount of flavour with every bite. The lamb cutlets were cooked just right - the first bite melts in your mouth. The juice from the meat oozed with flavour which made you want another bite.

My husband and I are huge fans of bulgar rice and we always judge a place but the way their rice taste. Mezze Grill's bulgar rice was exactly what we were looking for. The bulgar was soft and flavoursome. It didn't overpower the whole meal or underwhelm when you had the first bite. It had the right flavours which complimented the mixed shish.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxing. The staff were welcoming and i'm pretty sure the manager or the restuarant owner was first to greet us and made sure we were seated as soon as we entered. We were given complimentary salad, bread with chilli sauce, garlic sauce and Tzatziki which was very refreshing.

Overall, I'd rate my experience a 5/5 stars and would definitely recommend. We'll be coming here...

I visited Mezze Grill today along with my wife and daughter. Ordered a shared platter for two along with the platter of cold meze and grilled hallumi. Overall the food was OK but the biggest let down was lamb ribs. The meat on the ribs was impossible to chew. It was hard and dry and felt like leather. It felt that either the lamb ribs had been sitting there for several days, were reheated and given to us or there was something missing in the whole cooking process due to which the meat was hard and nonedible. I informed one of the staff, and to my surprise she came back telling me that the owner says that our lamb ribs are like this. Seriously? I mean it was impossible to even take the meat off the bone, that's how hard the meat was. I was really disappointed by the response. We left the whole portion of lamb ribs. I must mention that the staff which was serving us was really friendly and the service overall was good. I would be sceptical about going back because I feel that my complaint wasn't dealt properly. The owner's response was shocking and appalling. This isn't the way you treat your customers Mr. Owner when the complaint is genuine. Terrible service !!!

Travelled 1 hour from Battersea to eat here as we have eaten there a few times, group of 5. Arrived around 6.30pm after making a reservation in advance, and seated quickly.

From here it all went wrong, we ordered the Mezze Grill Special £65, took some time to even get the salad and dips, when this finally was sent to our table, we had to ask about the bread as not received, take into account not fully packed.

Main issue was the a few of the waiters, who clearly do not enjoy their job in a service industry, every time asked for simple things they would give you a unfriendly glare and take forever to bring it to the table.

Management As a customer who has visited the restaurant with family a number of times, you really need to sort out or replace a few of your waiters, short guy with black waist coat and taller slim guy may have been a head waiter, our experience was terrible and we were made to feel unwelcome, even when paying not even a thank you or a bye as we left.

There are plenty of restaurants that want custom and make the customers feel valued and welcome, based on our experience will not return, shame as food is generally nice and previous waiters were great, but guess they left as new faces.
