The car park was very full when I finally went out to the shops after lockdown, this week I'm disabled & had my 18 month old granddaughter with me & was quite annoyed to see a young Male drive in in front of me only to park up in the only child space left, all the disabled spaces was also filled, when I spoke to him he grinned & pointed out that he parked in a child space not a disabled one. I asked him where is his child was & he said in lidls with his partner ( yet he went in from the main rd ) I then asked how old his child was he replied 5, I then pointed to my son in law who was carrying his daughter over to the shops & said that they're for babys & toddlers not for children who are old enough to walk. I have wondered many times in the past why don't they have parking patrols in this shopping area as too many ignorant people are parking up in spaces designed for people who need extra space at the side of their car for getting babys out of car seats or disabled people needing to get into a wheelchair or have problems with manoeuvring out of their cars, theres enough shops for them to pay for patrols to check on cars parking with disabled badges or have a child car seat...
Read moreOnce again Halfords prove their worth. Displaying on-line that they have stock in the Chadwell Heath store that was again untrue.
We were shopping for a bicycle for my wife and were open to 4 or 5 brands and types to give them as big a chance as possible. All of which Halfords say they have at the store on their website. NONE of which they actually had. Yes they have quite a few bikes...mostly kids and men's, but only 5 for women and mostly mountain bikes.
There was lots of staff, but had no one ask us if we needed assistance, so had to try the bikes ourselves to choose an alternative that my wife liked. Many of the bikes had no details on them; no frame size, no wheel size, no details of what you get for your money. Just a brand, model and price, sometimes just a price. We decided to leave after 15 minutes of being ignored by staff and went down the road to Cycle King and put a deposit down on a bike, who had excellent service in comparison to Halfords.
If you want a bike don't get it from Halfords unless you want to be...
Read moreIf i could give this retail park zero stars I would. The parking in this place is an absolute scam. My sister and I went shopping there on 12/11/19 with her 3 year old daughter. We went Christmas shopping in Home Bargains, grocery shopping in Iceland and then for something to eat in the KFC restaurant. As you can imagine this took some time. At this point we were not aware that there was a time limit on shopping and eating at this retail park. Eight days later my sister received a parking fine of £100 for being over a 120 minute time limit. At no point did we leave this retail park and she and I spent a considerable amount in the shops. I think its absolutely disgusting that you're penalised for shopping, surely these shops rely on customers shopping in their shops? Neither she nor I will ever visit this place again and we will advise anyone we know not to shop here. I am also going to post warnings all over social media for these shops to advise people not to go there. The car park management is an...
