K.O Kebabish Chadwell Heath - Mediocre Food, Questionable Hygiene, and Exorbitant Prices

My recent dining experience at K.O Kebabish Chadwell Heath left me disappointed on multiple fronts. While the chicken was moderately flavorful, the overall food quality was subpar. The curry dishes were bland and lacked the authentic flavors one would expect from an Indian restaurant. Additionally, the meat used in some dishes appeared old and tough, further diminishing the culinary experience.

Apart from the food quality, the hygiene standards at the restaurant raised concerns. The presence of flies hovering around our dishes, even during winter, suggests a lack of proper pest control measures. This issue was particularly bothersome as flies constantly landed on our food, creating an unpleasant and unsanitary dining experience.

To add insult to injury, the prices at K.O Kebabish Chadwell Heath were disproportionately high compared to the portion sizes. The portions were noticeably smaller than expected, especially for the high prices charged. This discrepancy leaves a sense of being overcharged for a less-than-satisfactory meal.

Ordered through just eat. The food hasn’t arrived by delivery time so I called the restaurant they just kept telling me he had left, 25 minutes later nothing so I called back he said the same thing and that he would call back in 2 minutes, he didn’t. I called back and said I want to cancel because the driver left almost an hour ago and said my food will be cold he said check it, I said I will and if it is I won’t accept. The driver arrived and told me he had left 50 minutes earlier with my food ( it’s a 5 minute drive 10 at max) I handed back the food and said I want a refund. I didn’t give the driver the number he needed which is my proof I didn’t accept the food as I know the restaurant will say I did accept. They even had the cheek to send me a text after I requested some money back through just eat for being late by saying they won’t give me anything back and they added something for free.. well how could they when the driver had left almost an hour previously. Been ordering from them since a long time or even picked food directly, or family members went in person too.

There was a recent misunderstanding with the medium and large that has now been cleared and it seems like it was my mistake. I therefore have given Sadaqa/Charity for the same amount of food I was refunded by Just eat before that.

They made an effort after me complaining and leaving a bad review, I honestly feel bad now.

Food: I usually order Butter chicken, Chicken curry or Baby chicken. Plain naan which only .99p, or plain rice. Portion: if you don’t eat much than large chicken and large rice is enough for 2 people. That’s for like ppl who don’t eat much or enough for 2 kids. Me and my 2 kids eat it together - I do cook another pot of rice. So yeah chicken huge portion.

All good come with salad and sauces.

Butter chicken is not very spicy but I still dont give the sauce to my kids.

Rest curry is nice. Delivery is not always on time. They charge £3 extra but better than eating...
