I found a rusty blade in my pilau rice and the way it was dealt with by the restaurant is nothing short of a disgrace. I called them up to tell them what had happened, at first they were alarmed and sent a driver round to collect the rice and blade. The driver looked horrified when he saw it and took it straight back. We left all our details with the restaurant after the first time we called but we had to call them back after an hour and they said they were doing a full investigation and would call me the following day. After two days had gone I called them and asked what was happening and they took no responsibility for it whatsoever, and claimed they had called the council already so there's nothing I can do, and when I asked where my call back was they assured me i would get a call the next day, this was 2 days ago and still no call. I explained to them that I order many times a month and each order comes to around £100, sometimes more and I have never once complained, even when they left me waiting for 3 hours and had 'lost my order', but the way they have dealt with this is a disgrace, they have not made any attempts to resolve the situation, and are just trying to brush me off and sweep it under the carpet. If it wasn't for the fact that this is so disgusting, and that my 2 year old daughter could easily have tried to eat the blade (which I made them aware of) I wouldn't be persisting with this, but I have honestly never experienced anything like this, of course firstly with the rusty blade in the food, but then afterwards with what they have said to me and the complete lack of care for...
Read moreWould like to do another review in time as this time I only had the mixed grill. On the plus side the portion size was good for the money and filling. I can see the curry portions look a bit smaller and priced in line with other places albeit i think curry houses are now charging more than they should really. But let me discuss the mixed grill where you get to eat a selection of the tandoori starters. I think the food was little plain and not spicy with flashback to old tandoori houses. I just think there is better options. But I do look forward to trying a selection of the curries in the future and revert with further reviews. Another plus note is it is busy and people are friendly but be aware if you oder via Uber Eats as you will find the price of menu is inflated and you don't get all the menu options either. Their own website is probably best unless you have the right vouchers to justify the extra hike in price and...
Read moreFood was meh. Lamb was so chewy I abandoned the meal after a few bites, the sauce it was with was pretty bland to begin with and the naan was fairly anaemic looking and had very little flavour to it. The onion pakora tasted pretty good but was exceedingly dry.
Also on the delivery info I had specifically said NOT to ring there doorbell as the buzzer in this flat is extremely loud and wakes up the neighbours baby. And not only did you ring it once, but you rang it 3 long times. What's the point of even asking for extra delivery information or notes?
All in all for what was at best average Indian takeaway, the prices are quite high and I will not be ordering again, especially not when my neighbour will be giving me the stink eye on the stairs for costing them the little precious sleep they...
