The Vale Post Office — Local services in London

I have been using my local post office to collect my packages ever since I had one stolen from outside my door last year (2022) just before Christmas. It was upsetting as it was a rewarding present to myself after struggling through a long hard year of emotional and financial distress. Also then having to contact the company to get resend/refund the goods. Luckily the company believes me as I was a long term customer so the hassle of refund was shortened. A Malek was the nice gentleman who usually serves me behind the post office counter. He always have a lovely smile and greets me by my name and now have my packages ready whenever he saw me in the queue. By the way not just Malek, all the staff in this post office are friendly and have a smile waiting for you and are always helpful, can’t asked for more from customer service. Makes my day less stressful and more relaxed and happier after popping in. This post office also sells stationary, confectionary and milk, bread and snacks. As someone who posts parcels regularly through Evri, I was really disappointed by the service at this location. A young male staff member who works there consistently asks inappropriate questions about what’s inside my parcels — even when they’re securely packaged and properly labelled.

This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered his dismissive attitude, but today when I calmly asked why he keeps asking the same question, he claimed it was “part of his job.” I've never experienced this kind of behaviour at any other ParcelShop.

To make matters worse, he told me not to come back again, which I found unnecessarily rude and unprofessional.

After checking the reviews for this location, I wasn’t surprised to see multiple complaints about the same staff member. His attitude is consistently disrespectful, and frankly, it’s unacceptable. Based on how he treats customers, I genuinely believe he should no longer be in a customer-facing role.

I’ve submitted a formal complaint and sincerely hope Evri takes action. Everyone in the community deserves to feel respected and safe when using...
