A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Acton
Tucked away on a vibrant street in Acton, Malibu CafĂ© is the kind of spot you discover onceâand then canât stop coming back to. From the moment you walk through the door, the laid-back coastal vibe paired with warm, attentive service makes it clear that this isnât just another local cafĂ©. Itâs something special.
The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a perfect balance of comfort and creativity. I started with their smashed rivera topped with fried eggs, a hint of chili, and a squeeze of lemon that lifted the whole dish.and everything tasted vibrant.
But the real showâstopper? Their Biscoff French Toast. Thick-cut sourdough slices, golden and crisp on the outside, pillowy inside, layered with a generous smear of Biscoff spread, and topped with caramelised bananas, a dusting of crushed Biscoff biscuits, and a drizzle of salted caramel. Each bite perfectly balances sweetness, warmth, and textureâa delightful indulgence that feels both decadent
The vibe at Malibu is laid-back but buzzing. Whether youâre grabbing a solo coffee, meeting friends for brunch, or working remotely, itâs a space that feels welcoming and unpretentious. Bonus points for the chilled playlist and lightâfilled, stylish interiorsâCalifornia cool without trying too hard.
Final Verdict: Malibu CafĂ© is a rare findâwhere every dish, especially the Biscoff French Toast, lives up to the atmosphere, and the service pulls it all together. If youâre in Acton and looking for a place with consistently great food and real personality, make this...
Read moreWas really looking forward to trying this place with my cousins who highly recommended it. However, we were told the wait time was 45 minutes and so we waited around the area (3:50pm). After an hour & a half or so, we were told our table was next.
When we arrived, we werenât greeted at the door and then told that they were waiting for a table to leave and then we would be next. This was almost 6pm, mind you the store closes at 6pm . He then came outside, after almost 2 hours of us waiting outside to hand us the menu, and told us to pick what we were eating outside so the chefs could make it while they set up the table (the table was clearly ready).
I found this so bizarre as it was hot outside and we could have easily sat down after waiting 2 hours. He then in the same breath allowed another group of 6 in and let them sit down and look at the menu while sitting. I found that to be very ill mannered, we stood outside with the menuâs for another 10 minutes and then decided to eat elsewhere as we realised how disrespectful this whole experience was.
Overall 0/5 would not return
itâs clear that time efficiency and customer service are not a priority here. Thereâs no clear system in place, resulting in long waits with no communication or updates . Staff seemed disorganised and unprepared, which only added to the frustration. Disappointing experience from start to finish.
Tip- Work on having someone thatâs solely in charge of wait times and...
Read moreI promise this is not a AD or a paid review - a first timer and genuienly feel like people need to know about this place. Where do I even start? Have you ever had / felt all of your taste buds on your tongue tingle as the food youâre eating ticks every single box? If not, this is the place you need to be at. This brunch place is firstly the most cleanest and aesthetic little nook in Acton. Itâs a busy place but for a reason - we only waited around 15 minutes at around 1PM which was a not long waiting time at all. Firstly the place is amazing and very inviting - the staff members are friendly. I came here with a friend who has already previously been here before and vouched for the French Rivera - the photo attached. This food was mouth tingling , everything was perfectly seasoned , salted , sweetened. When i had my first bite it was silence - you just had to dig in and finish your food because it was that good. I definitely recommend this place a 10/10 for the brunch - they have amazing drinks and chai lattes ! The only thing i would have to say is the seasoned potatoes have abit too much paprika but that is more of a personal preference however, that does not hinder my score and shouldnât hinder your visit. Definitely the BEST brunch place in...
