I had a great experience when I did 1 day courses, but my big mistake was enrol for a Plant Based Certificate. I work evenings so I move all my schedule to be able to do the course in April 2023. A month before the course start, it was cancelled by the school. The offered me a refund (which I should accept ) or enrol for the next course. I did ho for the next date in September , sadly that summer I had an accident and I needed a knee surgery which change all my life and work plans. I contacted the school and they told me as we were within six weeks of the Start Date of the course (there were 4 weeks), I wasn’t able for a refund but they will give me credits to do another course. Since the date (more than a year after) I am waiting for a course I can do, as they don’t do the Plant Based certificate anymore and the course they offer me Essential Certificate is too low level for my experience. The worst thing is that someone else pay that course for me, a person who believes in me and wanted to give me the opportunity to grow professionally, now I have to save money to give this person back her money as I don’t think I will be able to use...
Read moreI’ve done 4 courses here now (2 x 1 week , 2x 1day) and have really enjoyed every single day I’ve been on them.
It is an excellent balance between demonstrating and practical. What you learn, for an enthusiastic but beginner/ intermediate cook, is that it is familiar but takes you into learning new skills and recipes. The teachers and staff are v friendly and are great at helping you get it.
The most recent being the Malay cooking course by Norman Musa. Dishes I thought beyond me where shown to be actually well within reach.

Read more'Introduction to Sourdough' was an expensive disappointment. The course was terminated an hour earlier than scheduled even though one of the twelve participants expressed a wish for the tutor to continue with the pizza demo. Twelve is too many for this course. The tutor worked hard in skirting around the most fundamental of questions: how she made her sourdough starter/culture.
