WARNING!! Do not order from here, Ordered food on Saturday 25th November 2023. Since eating from this establishment. My partner and I have experienced the most excruciating stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhoea. We had Lamb bhuna and Lamb Rogan Josh. I don’t want the hell they served us but it wasn’t fit for human consumption. I’m absolutely disgusted and disappointed by the whole situation. I have had to miss a day off university because I was so ill and still am. My partner is still throwing up now and now Monday the 27th November 2023. I have made a complaint to Just Eat and the food standard agency because in my honest opinion it needs investigating. Their hygiene standards are appalling especially since this has happened to my partner and I. I’m going to the drs in the Morning because nobody should be feeling the way we do after eating what Urban Spice class as a curry. You ought to be ashamed and believe you me this is not the last you’ve heard from me. Sort out your issues before serving food to the general public. It’s an absolute disgrace that you claim to be a good genuine company providing a service. I am speaking to a solicitor about taking legal action against you!! Kind...

We have never had an issue with our order from urban spice however a new driver was hired and didn't do their job properly. Our food was left on the floor outside our porch(sma bugs were found in the box). We called urban spice only to find out that after the driver claimed to have knocked on our door and called us however we never received a call nor did we hear a knock, bare in mind that we were downstairs the whole time.

Side note. As much as we'd like to cut the driver some slack, that's not how you handle people's food. And if your job consists of phone usage then you should have your phone charged at all times. There is no excuse.

As much as I understand that when I called I sounded extremely angry. The way the owner handled the situation was extremely dismissive and unprofessional instead of taking our concern into consideration, he dismissed it and argued back. If you're looking to order from urban spice, beware the owner is unable to deal with customer complaints properly.

All we wanted as customers that were given terrible service was for the owner to raise the issue the driver and apologise. Simple as.

I visited Urban Spice recently and had a very mixed experience. The staff are excellent – friendly, polite, and attentive. They definitely deserve 5 stars for their service.

However, the owner’s behavior and pricing practices are very disappointing. Despite being told twice that the menu would be updated, it never happened. Prices change arbitrarily – for example, I was charged £6 for a cheeseburger that was £5 the day before, with the excuse that the “menu rate has changed.” It feels like prices are made up on the spot.

While the food tastes good, be cautious: their curries contain food coloring. I had a reaction that left my throat irritated. Transparency about ingredients is important, and this wasn’t communicated at all.
