Seoul Kimchi is an absolute gem of a restaurant! I ordered the kimchi fried rice, and my friend had the bibimbap, and both dishes were out of this world. The flavours were so rich and perfectly balanced that words genuinely can’t do them justice, you have to try it to understand how amazing it is. The dishes practically melted in our mouths, making every bite a delight. We started with the complimentary soups, which were warm and comforting, a perfect way to begin the meal. My personal favorite, however, was the tteokbokki. It was soft, cheesy, and had just the right amount of spice, a true masterpiece. The only small downside is that the place is a bit tiny, so it might not be the best for large groups. That said, it’s absolutely worth visiting, especially since they offer a variety of halal options, which is such an advantage for someone like me who struggles to find halal Korean food. Overall, I’m super pleased and can’t wait to come back!

Ordered the short ribs, cheese tteopoki, beef gimbab and seafood pancake. Short ribs: came with rice and the short ribs were VERY tasty and flavourful. Really nice dish. only downside was the meat was very tough. you need some strong teeth or ask the staff for a pair of scissors. Cheese tteopoki: a dish I usually order whenever I go to a korean restaurant. tastes nice, not spicy at all. the dish itself has mushrooms and other vegetables in it. Beef gimbab: beef is minced beef and the gimbab has quite a lot of cucumbers. Tastes nice. Seafood pancake: alot of seafood and ingredients but the pancake itself was not nice. it was very soggy and flat. The korean pancakes I normally have are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside but this wasnt like that. Place is really small so limited seating.

3.5/5. Really cosy, homely and halal-friendly Korean restaurant serving iconic Korean dishes such as bulgogi, bibimbap, stews, and so forth. I ordered the beef bibimbap and received my food sizzling in a stone bowl, which kept the food quite warm and also made the rice at the bottom crispy and delicious. The overall serving size was good, though I did feel they were a bit light with the portion of beef- my friend who ordered a chicken bibimbap felt the same for her dish. However, for £12.50, the meal is good value. My friends ordered the chicken katsu which also looked tasty. I do wish the banchan/sautéd vegetables served as part of the bibimbap were more punchy and seasoned, as they felt lacklustre to me. Staff were very nice, just quite busy at all times. Overall, would recommend a visit.

Food very poor and completely tasteless. Waited an hour for the food (which means fresh and good) . Came to collect wasn't ready "come back in 20 minutes" . Returned 20 minutes later our order had been given to someone else in error £72+ worth. Had to wait another 20 minutes for them to reprepare our order. Starving by this time. Looking forward to tasting all these great reviews. Arrived home with the food. Portions were disgustingly small. Then we tasted the food. Portion wasn't the only problem parts of the order was missing and what we had was tasteless. I called Seoul Kimchi spoke to a very stressed young lady who remembered me. All she could offer was 'sorry' when I explained the order was short and lacking in taste. When I didn't want to end the conversation there she asked 'what you want me to do?' I was quite taken back but asked them to rectify the situation. She told me call back when they were less busy. She didn't want my name. She didn't want my details, no offer of recompense not even a voucher.

Waste of time. Needless to say I am no longer hungry for this place. Lucky you guys that had a good experience...

I ordered a spicy beef soup today which comes with a side of rice. My first bowl of rice had HAIR in it (small black hair an inch long- I have blonde hair), so the waitress gave me another bowl. The second bowl of rice had another piece of hair in it AGAIN (small black hair about an inch long). It completely disgusted me so I asked for something else to go with my soup, maybe noodles. The senior lady came back saying they didn't have noodles and I asked for pancakes maybe because I wanted something to eat my soup with. She refused rudely saying NO the rice is free! I was appalled. I lost my appetite, as I didn't trust the rice anymore and felt like I was the one at fault. I couldn't enjoy my meal. Rude customer service. (I've been here a few times before and it was okay but will not be returning). Even after we got the bill which was not deducted I talked to her about the situation and she was like where's the rice?! obviously I told her they took both of them back. I don't know whether to notify health regulations or the customer service police first if there is such a thing....
