First time here and it was okay, very standard but expensive. We got poppadoms and a chutney tray to start off with. The sauces on the chutney tray have been diluted with a lot of water so the taste of the sauces aren't the best which ruined it and having checked upon a past review I can say that it is 100% true. Next dish was the lamb chops, they weren't presented very well compared to the social media post on Insta. Very little onions on the sizzler and when it was brought out you couldn't tell we ordered a sizzler as there was no sizzle sound. The chops itself tasted okay but I've had better and definitely doesn't justify the price. The Sand Island mojito I was expecting tropical flavours as you would get in a passion fruit mojito but all you could really taste is mainly orange juice so wasn't very impressed. Steaks were decent but personally would only go for steaks if you went to a Steakhouse. Lamb karahi was actually good, they also made it spicy as requested and the garlic naan was really good. Both piping hot and fresh. I would definitely recommend that. Desserts were really good and I'd say it was probably the highlight of our trip here. Sticky toffee pudding was very soft and gooey and the toffee sauce was perfect, served with ice cream. Brownie was also chocolaty and rich served with ice cream. Minor point I would make is the presentation seemed very basic and it didn't match the picture they displayed on their Instagram. Atmosphere was very quiet for a Friday night. Felt like they were shutting that's how quiet it was. Overall, worth a try but just a standard place and wouldn't comeback again. Menu is quite big so struggle to identify what their speciality is. POSITIVES - ▪︎ Staff ▪︎ Quick Service ▪︎ Garlic Naan Bread ▪︎ Desserts NEGATIVE - ▪︎ Expensive ▪︎ Food Quality Does Not Match The Price ▪︎ Chutney Tray - Diluted Sauces

I first reviewed this place 6 years ago and gave a very good review as I came here in ramadhan for the buffet. But since then it's gone downhill I had some guests come from Birmingham and wanted to go out to eat so I drove an hour to saffire grill to eat out. We booked a table and were promptly seated. It took them 20 minutes to then take our order firstly our poppadoms arrived they weren't full poppadoms they were like quarter the size and they tasted stale. Next our starters arrived the starters we recieved were lamb chops which were perfect and tasty the ribs where succulent and tasty but the aloo tikkis where burnt. The original waitress who took our order had gone home as we were told so another waitress who clearly had a cold and was sniffling really bad served us but got all our order mixed up and wrong I ordered a medium fillet steak which came out well done after asking to change they brought a steak out which was rare and really chewy. I left both steaks and was disappointed with the rest of the meal the portion sizes of the chips were minimal. It's a real shame. Look at the pictures !! One guy did speak to us and said I don't know what's going on i don't normally work at the front and he gave us a free jug of pepsi. But the server that was sniffling put us off our food she was constantly blowing her nose then handling our food.

I went to Safire grill for my wife’s birthday. We absolutely loved it, very authentic and proper Pakistani food. For starters we got popperdom and a chutney tray and spring rolls, these were so crispy and had a beautiful veg filling with the right amount of spices, nothing too over powering. We got the mixed grill for our main, which had 4 lamb chops that were cooked very nice and had lots of flavour. 2/3 Fish pakoras which had a very flavourful batter with a nice crisp to it, and not soggy. 2 Seekh kebabs which were soft, juicy, and had beautiful spices to it. 2/3 pieces of Malai boti, these were perfect, so soft and just melted in my mouth. 3/4 chicken wings that were so soft and came straight of the bone. My wife had the biriyani with grilled tikka pieces in, she loved it. This places is a lot better than Akbars/East z East, as they just throw spice into a dish and think it’s real food. We recommended this place to our family friends that went the next day and absolutely loved it. One of our new go to places for a nice curry and mixed grill. Total bill was £43 for popperdom tray, mixed grill, chicken biriyani, chips and 2 drinks. Well worth it for the portion sizes and taste. The atmosphere was relaxed and had nice decour and very friendly staff.

Disappointing and Unprofessional Service – Reservation Was Not Honored

I had an extremely frustrating experience when I booked their buffet for iftar. I made my reservation a day in advance, as Saturday was fully booked, and secured a table for Sunday. During the booking call, I clearly stated that we were two adults and a toddler under three, and I requested a quiet corner space, preferably with a couch, for comfort. The staff member assured me that they had a half-couch, half-chair setup, which I agreed to. To avoid any issues, I even called again on the day of the booking to confirm everything, and they reassured me that all was set. However, upon arriving early for iftar, we were shocked when they attempted to seat us at a small table meant for two—completely unsuitable for a family with a toddler. When we questioned this, they simply asked for the name of the person we had spoken to, which, of course, we hadn’t noted, as we never expected such an issue. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they made us wait and ultimately told us they couldn’t do anything about it because they were “fully booked.” It felt as though they were treating us like walk-in customers rather than honouring a reservation made the day before. Their reasoning was absurd—while they insisted they couldn’t change someone else’s booking, they had no issue denying us the table we had specifically reserved. Even after speaking to what seemed to be the manager, the response remained the same. As a so-called solution, they offered to charge us for only one person, as if we had come looking for a discount instead of a proper dining experience. This entire situation was incredibly frustrating, especially happening right before iftar. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service was unacceptable. What’s the point of making a reservation if the restaurant won’t honor it? We ultimately had no choice but to leave, as the seating arrangement was impossible. The staff showed no remorse, and the experience left a very negative impression. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a well-organized and respectful...

The building itself is the first thing you see and it's hard to miss because of its sheer size. As soon as we entered we were welcomed in by the staff and they sat us down in a quieter portion of the restaurant, which is what we would have asked anyway, so this was a nice way to start the night.

We sat down and we're given the menus to immediately look through and choose our dishes. They have a nice selection of meals ranging from burgers to steaks and curries. The list isn't too big to the point where you're spoilt for choice. It's large enough to be extensive and not overwhelming. A perfectly balanced menu, if you will.

We ordered the mixed grill platter (serves 2 people), Aloo Tikkis and the 8oz Sirloin Steak. Everything on the platter was cooked to perfection. The meat was juicy and full of flavour. The Aloo Tillis had a nice crunch and the seasoning/masala combo used on the potatoe itself was delicious.

The 8oz steak was served with mash, but you do have the option of choosing fries or rice. Rice doesn't really work that well with steak and fries are more of a burger side, so we opted for mash. We went with a medium cooked steak as we like th steak to be decently soft with no sign of red. I know medium rare is the go to choice for a lot of people, for me, I just can't get over the slightly bloody taste. We chose the peppercorn sauce over the mushroom. It gave the steak dish that extra oomph and it went down well with myself and my wife.

For drinks, we opted for a Strawberry Daiquiri and a Cocolada (which is just a virgin Pina Colada). Both were delicious as expected. It's hard to get either wrong.

The price was very reasonable for a very filling meal and it's definitely a place we'll revisit in the future. Parking is free after 6pm, but please be aware that there is a parking meter that is active between 8am and 6pm...
