Phillips Traditional Fish and Chips — Local services in Oldham

We found this place by accident, looking for a chippy on the way home, we only chose it because we share the same surname.

On our first visit we was chatting to the ladies working there and learned a lot about both of them and the business but this is because I'm nosey.

The food served to us was delicious even after a 12 minute drive home, that's why I went back today and was remembered, that's great service. I ordered on their app but downloaded the wrong one (they have 2 shops) the fish fryer possibly the manager was great with me and retook my order and cancelled with the other shop. The food again was great, fresh and very tasty, the chinese curry sauce was thick and mildly spicy, the fish was very nice and a good price £6.90 I think.

We'll definitely be back, we live across the road from mcfc so it's not close but worth the drive.

At last this chippie has found owners who know how to offer quality fish and chips at a reasonable price. The fish is cooked to order so it's always hot and firm, not soggy, and the chips are crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Packaging is neat cardboard boxes and paper carrier bags.
